Pros: It's the second time that we booked Makhato Bush Lodge. The house is spacious, modern but with a strong African feel. The rooms are lovely with king-size beds with quality bedding. The bathrooms are en-suite and beautiful. The living area is spacious with a huge dining room set and open plan kitchen which lends it to being open and social. My favourite parts of the lodge however arebthe the under-cover braai facilities and thebopen air boma for those lovely African late-night fires. Last but not least the animals passing by and having a drink at the water hole. We will definitely return.

Pros: All bedrooms are en suite which makes the stay very comfortable.

Cons: The convenience of a dish-washer would be appreciated.

Pros: The property needs some maintenance & attention

Cons: The roads are pretty bad, septic tank needs attention. Door locks all problematic, those type of issues that maintenance and attention will resolve carport has no roof

Excellent stay and a beautiful property. Emma, the cleaning lady was very friendly and polite.

Pros: We liked everything about the property, and it met our expectations. The Host was very friendly and kind enough to let us stay for extra hours, which was a bonus.

Cons: We did not like the long drive from the gate to the reception, and then back to the property, especially on a gravel road.

Pros: Very peaceful and quiet with only the Nyala and bush bucks as visitors. The kids really enjoyed being so close to the animals. The house with each room having its own ensuite bathroom adds to the comfort and sense of privacy.

Cons: Maintenance needs some attention. The kitchen had a broken drawer and chipped plates. Lamp shades in one bedroom also have seen better days.
