Pros: This is definitely a wonderful place to stay in Midrand, walking distance to the Mall of Africa. It’s in a peaceful, quiet and safe gated complex with a lovely gym and pool. The apartment is clean, spacious and has just about everything in it to make you feel at home The host is brilliant and super responsive sends you access codes super early which worked perfectly for me because I was out at 6am every morning for my morning runs and I was never stuck.
Cons: Only if he could buy a fan because it can get really hot without having an aircon

Pros: I liked the fact that it was clean, had hot water on 24/7, fresh linen and clean towels, Wi-Fi and its self-catering. Super comfortable and definitely value for money.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that upon arrival, I couldn't get a hold of the host to get the keys and security code for the apartment. Host then gets back to me 30 minutes later and says that he was not aware that he had a booking that day. He then rushed to me from where he was and gave me the code for gate access and then keys were given to me by security. Huge inconvenience because this is an apartment complex not a hotel, i had to wait outside the gate for 45 mins to an hour.

Awesome property with great amenities. Great location. Excellent host.
Pros: The property is very well located with easy access to Mall of Africa as well as smaller convenience centres (Food Lovers Market, pharmacy, Woolworths, Clicks). The property feels very safe and is very much lock-up-and-go. The environment is warm and welcoming - people in neighbouring properties were all very friendly and respectful of each other. Security guards are very meticulous and also very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I did not know beforehand is that there is a curfew in place for non-residents of the estate. The host does a fantastic job of ensuring that you are provided with plenty of access tokens in order to come and go as is needed, but if you need to arrive or leave outside of the curfew, it may not be possible. Not a huge issue, necessarily, but worth noting for those who require relatively unrestricted freedom to come and go, regardless of the time of day.
