Quirky and qwuaint, well worth a stay

Pros: Beautiful old home transformed into a B&B. Lovely facilities and furnishings... Enjoyed the turret room... Having a restaurant (Hennies) around the corner simplified suppertime...

Cons: I thought the shower and jacuzzi (which I didn't use) could have been properly plumbed and built in rather than just plonked down with all the piping exposed. Shower door missing in action. No desk in room and no place to pack clothing out.

Would I go back? YES.

Pros: The decor, the design, the spaciousness, the opulence, the 2 dogs, the area, the quietness, the price, the proximity to work, the whatsapp messages, the balcony,

Cons: No tea and coffee in the room, the breakfast option was unclear or miscommunicated, the communal kitchen setup. (When I went to fetch my Yoghurt out of the fridge there were open, empty pizza boxes lying around.)

Everything about this beautiful castle was everything described and more. Amazing place, amazing hosts and the breakfast

Pros: I really liked the house — it was interesting, homey, and I loved the bonus castle-like design. The staff were very welcoming; it felt as though we were all friends. The garden was beautiful, and I honestly enjoyed everything about the place. I will definitely come back anytime.

A good location to visit Pretoria and the North suburbs of Johannesburg

Pros: Very nice and safe area, and also very quite. Very close to Pretoria and to the Sandton area. B&B run by a family, very helpful and kind. Breakfast is fully comprehensive and sufficient. I also understood the house has two extra luxury rooms available.

Cons: The room is a bit cold, there are no heaters and/or an air conditioning system. The bathroom is dated and the drain of the shower is encrusted with limescale. Bathroom amenities like soap and shampoo are not supplied. The kitchen has not a light and they supplied a bed light. All the light switches are located next to the entrance door, strange.

Pros: A beautiful guesthouse, with phenomenal art pieces. Nice and central. The staff were so friendly, and the doggo's are just the cherry on the cake! Thank you for accommodating my early schedule, and the umbrella in the rain!

Cons: That I couldn't stay longer!
