really enjoyed the stay, did not have time to soak myself up in the pool but the place was clean

Pros: breakfast and staff were top tier. so clean, receptionist was so nice and checked on me every morning. will definitely go back when i am in the area.

Pros: Lovely guesthouse located in a leafy estate in Midrand - the perfect spot to stay for leisure or work. The rooms are spacious, and look out onto the pool and picturesque gardens. Very friendly host - I highly recommend!

Pros: Beautiful place to stay in. Very comfortable and clean. Friendly host and staff. Amazing breakfast and facilities. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend Amohela guesthouse. The place is well kept and maintained at a very high standard. Safe and secure giving guests peace of mind to relax. We loved the swing in the garden and my children had fun on the trampoline and playground.

Cons: Nothing at all. We were absolutely satisfied with everything.

My stay was initially great but ended up somewhat bad! ☹️

Pros: The property is nice, modern, fit for purpose and very clean. I like the fact that my 6-year old son could enjoy playing outside making use of the facilities available.

Cons: In general, albeit I enjoyed my stay at Amohela Guesthouse, I am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY and have to put on record my displeasure pertaining to how I was treated on my last day, i.e. Wednesday, 09 July 2025 with my check-out. On Tuesday, 08 July 2025, when I enquired about the check-out time, I was made aware that the check-out time is 10H00. As I was travelling with my two (2) minor sons, one being only 6 years old, I delayed with a FEW MINUTES to vacate the room I booked as I was still busy packing both my sons’ stuff. The fact that the owner was visibly angry at my sons owing to me delaying a tad, left a bitter taste in my mouth. I was in the bathroom and I could hear my sons telling the owner that I am still busy dressing up. This was owing to the owner having told my kids twice that I was supposed to be out of the room I booked by 10H00. My kids then came running to me and pleaded with me to hurry up as the owner is visibly angry and they do not want us to get into trouble. This whole experience pertaining my check-out really changed my perspective about this establishment and my entire experience. This could have been handled way much better. I am acutely aware that the check-out time is 10H00. It was never my intention to stay a tad longer than I should or am allowed to. However, I think a little consideration and courtesy could have been extended to me. I felt like I was being evicted. This entire experience really left a bitter taste in my mouth. I was planning on going back to Amohela Guesthouse for my son’s 7th birthday on 16 August 2025. I will however not be doing that owing to the experience alluded to above. I think the owner could be a bit more understanding, flexible and accommodating. I literally just needed a few minutes extra to finish up everything without being literally chased away. ☹️ ☹️ ☹️

Everything you could need in a guesthouse and more!

Pros: The breakfast was amazing, the staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and clean.

Cons: There is nothing I can fault!

Pros: I am OCD with cleanliness and I was extremely comfortable and appreciative of how clean the guesthouse was. The breakfasts are incredible! The staff and owner are so friendly and helpful. This will be our go to B&B for work trips in this area going forward. Thank you so much!
