Hennie's Rest

Amazing experience

Pros: The property has a unique interior design with loads of one off pieces objets d'art, very clean, well maintained with everything one would need for a few days to a couple of weeks. The outstanding feature of this apartment is that is sits on the crocodile river so you have the opportunity to spot wildlife. We were lucky to see Buffalo, Waterbuck, Hippos to mention a few. However we were visited one evening by two elephants who came so close we could have touched them. An amazing and powerful experience that has been etched onto my soul. Thank you Cornelia.

Pros: Everything, the location, the accommodation and especially the host who looked after us.

Perfect stay

Pros: The host was absolutely lovely, the facilities were clean and comfortable, the location was amazing - we so so many animals by the river. The pool was such a bonus addition! We will definitely be back

Hennie's Rest

Pros: The view was exactly and even better than advertised, facilities were absolutely brilliant regardless of the bugs which is part of nature anyway.

Cons: Nothing really, all was good and reasonable. The aircon's prepaid units were enough but it would have been nice to know beforehand what the protocol was, it did not affect us at all but upfront info would have been nice

Pros: The view was amazing and the house had all we needed for a relaxing holiday

Breathtaking views

Pros: Absolutely stunning place! Had everything we needed and more! The views were incredible! Had elephants greeting us right next to the wall, we saw waterbuck, hippos and crocodiles too. It was amazing, wish we had booked for a few more days! We will definitely return with our next trip! Thanks to all the wonderful staff as well!

Very neat and comfortable. Awesome place

Pros: The locations were fabulous. We saw different animals in the river. Elephants came right up to the deck.

Cons: The property next to Hennie's rest is being developed and it was noisy during the day. But I know it is temporary and will soon be nice and peaceful to sit on the deck and look out over the river.

We loved our stay at Hennie's Rest and definitely visit again if possible.

Pros: Beautiful view of the Kruger National Park. Lovely braai facilities. Friendly host and we loved the décor.

Pros: The location & setting surprised us. A quiet area. Well equipped & comfortable apartment.

Cons: The gas geyzers just take very long to warm up the water.

Pros: Stunning view throughout the day and especially at sunset.
