La Lechere Guest House

This 4-star guesthouse with modern African décor features en suite rooms with a private patio. La Lechere has an outdoor pool and is located 7 minutes’ drive from the Phalaborwa Airport‎ and 5 km from Kruger National Park’s Phalaborwa Gate. All rooms at La Lechere overlook the pool and tropical garden, and are equipped with air conditioning, a satellite TV, safe and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. The restaurant serves a complimentary breakfast daily on the restaurant's deck overlooking the pool. Packed lunches are available upon request. La Lechere Guest House is fully solar powered and has its own borehole to supply the guests always with power and water. An airport shuttle can be arranged at an additional fee and free parking is available on site. Phalaborwa is located 520 km north of Johannesburg. Pros: Very friendly and helpful hosts. Great breakfast. Lovely to have a value for money honesty bar. We loved the dogs too. Nice to see crafts supporting the local community

Cons: Nothing wrong at all with the property. Phalaborwa is lacking in restaurants but the hosts recommended place to eat - by the gate into Kruger rather than in town - was fabulous

Wonderful & memorable stay in Phalaborwa with first class hosts.

Pros: The owners were so friendly and helpful with any of our questions and advice for trips and which were the best roads on the park to see animas

Cons: There wasn’t anything bad that we observed. If I did I would be being unnecessarily picky.

Pros: Everything is just perfect. It was the second time we stayed at La Lechere, and it was beyond what we remembered from our last stay. The whole team who works there are absolutely fabulous and keep it mind every detail. The room was perfectly clean and refreshed daily at the perfect time, our breakfast was fantastic, both types of them while having it by the garden / pool area, or the take away type which is meticulously prepared in a lovely cooler box to take with us while we were early morning for a game drive around kruger Park. The location of La Lechere is about 6 minutes drive from kruger. The Garden is beautiful and makes you feel like you are in an oasis, far away from any disturbances. We also used their pool, perfect to chill, and the laundry service which was fast and super efficient. We will definitely go back with some more family to share with them such a Eden of tranquility.

Pros: Beautiful guest house. Loved our private lapa off our bedroom. The pool areas were lovely.

Pros: We were welcomed by a very friendly and helpful Monja. Showed us around after check in procedure. Booked us a very nice restaurant as well. Excellent service at breakfast the next morning as well.

Very comfortable, peaceful place with friendly staff.

Pros: Place was very good. Rooms are clean and comfortable with all the basic items. Breakfast was good. No complains about anything. Pools were clean but unfortunately we did not get a chance to use.
