Murray Street 137 Guesthouse

Recommended for but ask to be furthest from the conference room.

Pros: Good location to the University. Lovely restaurant across the road.

Cons: Location of our rooms. They were close to the conference facility...lots of coming & going of staff, etc

It was a peaceful, safe, wholesome, and perfectly located stay with great food and facilities! Wow!

Pros: The welcoming form staff was incredibly friendly and warm. The venue was stunning and rooms were modern with a touch of elegance. Loved the home made meals and comfort of the dinning room area. First trip to Pretoria and not the last to this guest house.

Ons was baie tevrede en sal graag weer daar wil tuisgaan.

Pros: Alles was baie keurig gewees en die personeel was baie vriendelik en behulpsaam.

Cons: Ons het die eerste aand in 'n kamer geslaap wat nie na wense was nie. Dit het nie aan ons verwagtinge voldoen nie, want dit het nie 'n tuin en stoep gehad soos wat die foto's uitgebeeld het nie. Gelukkig was die personeel bereid om ons die volgende aand na 'n kamer te skuif wat toe wel 'n stoep en tuin gehad het soos wat dit op die foto's gelyk het.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay. Staff are friendly, warm, welcoming and nothing is a problem. We felt safe at all times. Rooms are beautifully decorated, beds comfortable, and thoughtful touches to make one feel comfortable. The gardens are lovely and everything is well maintained. The guesthouse is well situated and easy to find. Thank you for incredible hospitality. Will only stay at this guesthouse when visiting Pretoria.

It was a pleasant stay

Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful, Pretoria was without power but the facility had a generator and we appreciated it. The room was very secluded and we enjoyed it very much.

Cons: It's not that we didn't like it but the other guests at swimming pool's music was very loud

Great place to settle down.

Pros: Location. It was clean. Terrace is great advantage. Shops and restaurants nearby. Very quiet place. Relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay, slept well, felt comfortable and safe.

Pros: An amazing selection for breakfast and supper. The location is central to UP and in a beautiful area.Peacefull and staff all kind and helpful.

Cons: It would have been helpful to have had a veggie peeler , medium bowl for salad and a 250ml jug to warm milk in the microwave.

A comfortable and pleasant stay during a stressful time of my husband undergoing surgery.

Pros: The room I initially booked was not the one that we received, but I was moved to a better room on the second day - that matched the pictures. (The Block no 7 - very clinical - not a friendly room). The staff were friendly and most helpful to move my luggage to the new room. (McKenzie no 10). The area is very quiet. Desk and working space in the new room was much appreciated. Dinner is available on site. It is within 5 minutes from Brooklyn Mall, the university and many of the hospitals in the area.

Cons: The price for dinner is overly expensive for what is offered. Loud talking for hours by people in a nearby room. No block-out curtains making the room too light at night. Room - especially the chair - needs to be revamped. (McKenzie 10) TV Channels are limited - no tennis during the Australian Open.

Absolutely Amazing!

Pros: It is truly an oasis where you find rest after a hectic day in the city. From the friendly staff, uniquely decorated unit, breathtaking gardens and delicious breakfast. So grateful I found this gem in Pretoria.
