Secluded and charming place near Marakele nature reserve

Pros: We really liked this secluded and authentic former research station-turned B&B. Naturally there was the odd spider or moth hanging out inside the house but that is completely fine given the location in the bush. We also liked the spaciousness and the amount of ‘lebensraum’, the nice trail near the premises and of course the very friendly owners. Highly recommended.

From fresh crisp linen to complimentary rusks, milk and sweets, everything was thought of to make our stay enjoyable.

Pros: It was quiet and secluded in the middle of nature. Also clean and tidy.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: What a beautiful place! The cottage is in the bush, and on the edge of marakele national park! You have beautiful hiking trails. If you are an animal lover is this a great spot. Big thanks for the owners! They have made a little paradise. They are also very helpful for questions and tips

This is really an exception hidden gem

Pros: The location was absolutely amazing. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. The pool in the summer heat really made the days enjoyable, especially for my daughters. The owners pets from dogs to cats to horses, were extremely loving to us, and made it feel like we were at home.

Cons: The single beds in the other two bedrooms were great for the kids, but not so much for an adult. Minor inconvenience when travelling with more than one couple.

Pros: Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce petit nid caché dans la végétation. C’est calme et très privatif. On a l’impression d’être seul au monde ! Il y a tout le nécessaire pour préparer de bons repas et le coin braai est particulièrement agréable. L’accueil a été rempli de petites attentions très appréciables. Nous avons pu faire une une jolie marche sur la parcelle et rejoindre rapidement le parc du Marekele.

Cons: Certains lits mériteraient d’être changés.
