Rocky Drift Nature Reserve is situated in a beautiful enclosed valley in the Waterval Boven district, Mpumalanga. It offers self-catering cottages with a patio and close proximity to plenty of wildlife. The cottages at Rocky Drift Nature Reserve have well-equipped kitchens with oven, microwave and fridge. There is a seating area and bathroom and a private outdoor patio. Rocky Drift’s natural water supply is fountain fed from the mountain tops by Joubert Spruit. Perfect getaway.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay, the owners we extremely welcoming and helpful, the place feels calm and relaxed, the chalet was well equipped ,comfortable and clean ,right next to the river . Will definitely be back soon.

Pros: Everything about this place, the accommodation itself, the scenery, the serenity of it is absolutely beautiful, the service and hospitality was everything and more. I’m definitely making it my yearly time out place, to reset, relax and breathe. The food was freshly prepared! The cabin was clean, cosy and very comfortable The dogs are super friendly, my dog got along really well with them. Extremely safe and comfortable.

Excellent and close to nature

Pros: Rocky Drift Private Nature Reserve is a truly beautiful place – peaceful, wild, and breathtaking. The staff were absolutely fantastic. We originally booked a tent, but due to very stormy and rainy weather they kindly offered us a house free of charge. The house was fully equipped, with a huge and very comfortable bed, a fireplace, and a well-equipped kitchen. It was incredibly cozy and super romantic. We loved it so much that instead of our original two nights, we ended up staying an extra night. Highly recommended – we would come back anytime!

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and serene.

Pros: It's absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. Truly a tranquil place for rest and peace. Beautiful hiking trails. Very neat and tidy. There is some games to play, a pool with a very nice deck and pool loungers. Trampoline, kiddies play area. Really very nice place. We had loads of fun.

Pros: My family had a lovely stay here, my daughters enjoyed every moment, Cheryl and Hans are lovely hosts, we enjoyed the treatment and the food. Facilities are neat and clean, pool is clean, lovely friendly dogs Marly and Muffin I'll miss them. Make sure you eat Cheryl's breakfast especially the hashbrowns, the honey sticky chicken and basmati rice for dinner was my best.

Cons: The wifi coverage was non-existent at times, but if you have no work or school stuff to do, you'll be fine
