Pros: The place was beautiful. Whole place felt well designed and very clean. Loved the hot tub and braai area. All the little things that were placed around the unit was well thought out. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay.

Cons: The big light cover/shade in the living room is hanging right in front of the TV - had an obscured view (just mentioning it - maybe it could be swopped around with one of the others on the end. The shower water drainage was a bit slow causing water build up if you showered for about 1 minute - could be looked at.

We loved our stay at Minara!!

Pros: We loved what the cabin had to offer in all aspects. Very comfortable beds and couches. Having a smart TV to catch up on sport was a bonus. The decor is very beautiful and the facilities in the cabin are very convenient. The host was very friendly and always responsive.

Cons: A bit more privacy from our bathroom window towards the other units would have been nicer. The braai pit area is not very user-friendly. The wooden trusses in the roof/ceiling keeps on making a crackling noise throughout the day with the increase and decrease of temperatures and because of this, it was quite disturbing at night when you are trying to sleep.

Highly Memorable Stay

Pros: This is a peaceful and tranquil getaway. The property is well maintained, has a luxurious feel, and the sunsets are absolutely stunning. The management and staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The tickle tub and boma are wonderful additions to enjoy. I especially loved that the entire unit can open up to let in nature and the breeze. Each afternoon, wildlife would come to graze right in front of the unit — it truly felt like a little piece of private heaven.

Cons: I did encounter a couple of minor hiccups, but management responded promptly and professionally to each. It’s worth noting that the property may not be ideal for low-clearance vehicles, and it is located outside the Dinokeng Reserve if you plan to visit daily. One more note would be that I personally found the amount of information to digest prior to arrival as well as on arrival a little overwhelming. However, if you’re looking for a romantic escape or some true peace and quiet, this is the place. My soul felt rested for the first time in a long while. I will definitely be back!

Could have been made better

Pros: The location and the aesthetic offers a break from the city life, perfect for winding down and relaxing

Cons: No water for drinking, we only got 2x 330ml complementary bottles when we arrived and from there on we were told to drink from the tap because the water is from a borehole and it gets filtered but the taste was horrible, it tasted like drinking chemicals. 👎 Secondly the property doesn’t offer cleaning service during your stay, if you want your room to be cleaned you have to arrange at an additional costs from your pocket or you clean for yourself which defeats the purpose of relaxing during your stay. 👎

Lovely stay in the bush

Pros: Clean and new cabins, with all the amenities. Peaceful location, sometimes we could see some animas from the patio. The bed was comfy and we enjoyed the hot tub.

Cons: Lots of noises from our roof during the night. Many insects, I would recommend to put a mosquito net on the bed to improve sleeping conditions.

Pros: Everything the privacy at villa 3 ,facility is clean and well taken care of

Cons: The cleaning guy came to our villa around 9am of check out day while we still needed privacy
