The place is a safe haven for relaxing and I was happy to wake up and see animals ,very much enjoyed

A forest Heaven….

Pros: Breakfast prepared by Mabel and Elizabeth was excellent. Fresh local fruit, cereal, yoghurt, toast, waffles and full English cooked breakfast. Coffee was from fresh beans grown on the farm. The Lodge sleeps 10 but we had the whole place for 3 of us. We cooked our own dinner one night, but the setting is magical in the forest - a taste of heaven!

Cons: Don’t want to criticise as we loved it, but a little maintenance needed in shower rooms and the kitchen…

Pros: Hennie and his staff are very, very friendly! We booked two rooms but got a whole lodge to ourselves, it felt a little 'spooky' in the beginning but when we made a fire in the fireplace, it felt better :-). Even through the lodge is old, it was very clean. Breakfast was excellent!

Cons: The lodge is very dark.
