I enjoyed my time there once I accepted it on its own terms and benefited from a digital detox.

Pros: Absolute quiet, switched off from digital world albeit unexpectedly

Cons: There’s no air con and you need to pay extra for WiFi and socket access.

It is like living in a bird aviary. For a birder, it was exemplary.

Pros: It was beautifully secluded. The order and precision of the facilities was exceptional. The staff were incredibly dedicated and consistent.

Cons: Although I was aware of the lack of 220V electricity I will be better prepared next time.

Pros: Hidden gem! Lovely thatched chalet, riverview, and excellent hiking opportunities. The trails are not very long (longest is 2-3 hrs) but very beautiful and perfectly maintained and marked. We loved the restaurant as well. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Cons: Nothing! Maybe the beds were a bit too firm , but that is personal.

Pafuri paradise

Pros: Close to the Pafuri gate in a unique piece of paradise. The unit is comfortable with great attention to detail. The setting is amazing... big trees next to a tranquil river within a friendly community. I could spend much more time here....

Don't think just book!

Pros: We loved the beautiful countryside/ bush around the accommodation. The authenticity and the location was wonderful. Everything was exactly as described. Communication from the owner was excellent. The walking trails were fabulous. We loved the noise of insects etc at night. The breeze through the netted windows was good too.

Cons: We liked it all because it was what we were looking for!

Deserving of all the great reviews on Booking.com. Highly recommended as a base for the North of Kruger.

Pros: The chalet we stayed in was immaculately clean. Fantastic staff. Lovely and quiet. Good facilities. A great base to explore the north of Kruger. Frozen meat available from the shop along with a good selection of alcohol, tins, and other useful stuff.

Cons: Nothing. All great.
