A pleasant place in the middle of nature

Pros: A pleasant place in the middle of nature, in solitude, especially suitable for a few days' stay. In the countryside by the river, without wifi, a few minutes walk from the Lisbon waterfall. There are large but very friendly sheepdogs.

Cons: You need to have a working South African SIM card to call the owner and have him open the gate. Be careful - operators often sell only data without the ability to make calls!

Pros: Charl, his dogs and lawnmower sheep, swimming in the Lisbon River, walking to Lisbon Waterfalls, clean, well equipped kitchen, peaceful location. Thanks Charl for a lovely stay and all the good advice!

Cons: Typical gas shower issues but did spoil our stay

Beautiful and relaxing!

Pros: Beautiful scenery and lovely hosts. Quaint and clean chalets. Well stocked kitchen.

Pros: The location is very good. It's not far from the main attractions. It is very tranquil and beautiful. Charl was a good host. He welcomed us and made us feel comfortable. And we loved the dogs..!! They came to our cabin every day and kept watch over us. Very friendly dogs. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

Cons: Nothing in particular. Except there was some insect or something at night kept making fluttering noise from within the wooden roof. It felt as if something was trying to gnaw through the wooden roof. We didn't find what exactly was going on, but we did manage to sleep off.

A Week-Long Holiday at Lisbon Eco Lodge

Pros: We liked literally everything. A more than 150-year-old cottage house, yet good-looking and neat; serene ambiance of the small farm; picturesque riverbank location; proximity to Graskop (5 - 10 minutes’ drive), Sabie and Pilgrim’s Rest (25 - 30 minutes’ drive), and all the key natural wonders of the Blyde River Canyon (15 - 50 minutes’ drive depedning on what you're driving to). And of course, the host - Charl, one of the friendliest men you can imagine.

Cons: The only minor issue was the gas geyser, which worked quite unevenly, making the hot water fluctuate from nearly boiling to barely warm.

Pros: Host Charl gave us a warm welcome. The lodge is conveniently located close to major attractions and just 7 km from Graskop city centre. We will surely come back.

Pros: Stunning location in nature outside of town, but close enough to quickly drive in for dinner.

Pros: Everything was lovely the host and the staff were phenomenal and very accomodative!. The rooms were exceptionally clean and views out of this place. Thank you Charl and Mercy for making our stay memorable 💕

Pros: Location, host, house, EVERYTHING. If you are looking for a “ dream location “ This is it! Even the “ waterval “ river in front of your house where you can swim!!!!
