Pros: I’m actually in disbelief of how beautiful Monica’s place is,You’re probably going to come across more reviews about pictures not doing it justice but I assure you,they truly don’t.When I saw the complimentary cherry & Biltong I was so pleased until I realised we were stocked on ice,a full bucket & trays,Complimentary cappuccino & fresh milk just made me feel at home I just needed to extend. The cabin is clean,private with private pool & Braai area,Oh a full kitchen too spacious than what pictures show & honestly so aesthetically pleasing,there are endless cute touches & Monica?Such a warm warm host,we were allowed space & got our pool cleaned every morning,I truly cannot bring myself to fit all my compliments.

Cons: I truly have no complaints,I just didn’t like the guests in the other unit,though it isn’t as close,they made sure to play music for us too & I hope you guys too remember to be considerate when you finally book in!

Pros: The host is the best💐💯...we really enjoyed our stay. The pictures online don’t do the place justice... it’s truly out of this world and incredibly beautiful.

Real little a gem of a place and ideal to relax and do nothing for a day or two.

Pros: We loved the little touches such as chocolates, sherry, ice bucket with ice cubes, firewood and fire lighters. Room was comfortable and very clean. Pool was private and even saw the Nyala a few times near the room.

Cons: There is no aircon in the room, only a ceiling fan. Swimming pool was ice cold despite it being a hot day. It would be nice to have a solar heating on the pool to take the edge off the icy cold water. Access into the estate requires additional access codes if you have to go in and out during your stay.

Our stay was perfect 😍 The property as a whole was well maintained and beautiful.. the Pooooool 😭💦🤭♥️

Pros: We loved everything about the stay .. Our 4 night stay felt very short 😩🍃That’s how comfortable we got ..Very Homey ….The pool was my favourite spot 🤭

Cons: The Cushions & Throw Blankets on the Sofa and Bed could be washed more regularly. They were dirty and we ended up not using them..

Pros: Monkey Thorn exceeded my expectations, pictures don’t do the place any justice it felt like home away from home. The private pool, beautiful garden, braai area, cleanliness there’s nothing to fault. Really enjoyed my stay, Monica and Thys are always available when you need them they were the perfect hosts. If you looking for a serenity Monkey Thorn is that place. Will definitely be visiting again as a weekend wasn’t enough 🐒

Pros: Very quite bushveld escape close to Pretoria. Excellent self catering facilities and a stunning pool. Highly recommended

Pros: Beautiful and quiet location, the cabin was so clean, sophisticated and everything you needed away from home was available. Loved the private pool and braai area, just a perfect jam to relax and took a lot of beautiful pictures in the premises. And Monica the host was so lovely and friendly.
