Marataba Safari Lodge

Located within the malaria-free Marakele National Park, Marataba Safari Lodge is set on the foothills of the Waterberg Mountains and offers guided game drives, bush walks or river excursions. Elegantly furnished, the canvas-and-stone tented rooms at the lodge boast a free-standing stone bath as well as an indoor and outdoor shower. Each has a deck with views over the plains and the river. Meals are served outdoors under the trees and special diet menus and private dining can be arranged on request. The lodge also has a bar. Guests can relax on sun loungers at the pool or read a book in the spacious lounge next to the fireplace. The lodge has a a private airstrip, located about 25 minutes' drive away.

Amazing stay

Pros: The stay was better than we have expected. The hotel is amazing so are the rooms. The team is awesome. Linda and Jennifer took really good care of us and Caitlynn, our guide was amazing. She listened to us and helped us find the animals we were hoping to see. Marataba made our honeymoon awesome. It's truly one of the best hotels we've ever been to. The little attentions and surprises made our stay unforgettable.
