Fantastic luxury bed and breakfast stopover en route to Kruger!

Pros: Beautiful house, well decorated, with a lot of history, owned by Andrew and Kim, 4th generation descendants of Grace and HL Hall. Great welcome, outstanding breakfast, super dinner, simple but natural and fresh food super well cooked, and great value for money! Stanford is a gem and has a few specialties (lime pie, cookies, homemade granola and muesli). Everybody in the house is highly helpful and provides great service with a smile. A fantastic stop between Jo’burg and Kruger park!

I would return without hesitation. Strongly recommended.

Pros: There are places that embrace you the moment you arrive, and this is one of them. The atmosphere radiates a rare sense of peace, the kind that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply and simply be. The surrounding greenery makes it impossible not to want to read a good book, meditate or quietly enjoy the landscape. The rooms are beautifully equipped, warm and comfortable, with thoughtful details that make you feel truly at home. The bathtub experience, enhanced with the delightful bath salts, is something I highly recommend, a small luxury that elevates the entire stay. The “open bar” concept was a brilliant idea: simple, honest and sophisticated at the same time.

Cons: The only point that deserves reconsideration is the parking area, marked as “at your own risk”. For guests travelling with private vehicles, this creates unnecessary insecurity. Perhaps it would be possible to offer: \tMinimal monitoring or night patrol, \tCCTV cameras covering the parking area, \tOr simply clearer communication to reassure guests about the safety of the premises. Small adjustments that would increase confidence and further enhance the guest experience

Hidden retreat for a peaceful weekend

Pros: Everything was excellent. The accommodation is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail and impeccably clean. The atmosphere offers a true sense of tranquility, surrounded by nature and reminiscent of the countryside. The food was of outstanding quality, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. In addition, the property felt very safe and secure at all times.
