Milkwood Valley Lodge

Pros: The place was really amazing. From the private chatlet where everyone was free and comfortable, it was beautiful.

Cons: Poor signage. We kept getting lost around the reserve, and it was a bit frustrating. If you could improve by adding more informative signage.

Pros: Exceptional stay. Will definitely book again. Welcoming atmosphere Facilities were great, entire lodge to yourself. Amenities cater to every need Rooms were clean, with fresh clean bedding. Breakfast spread was delicious and well prepared on site by super friendly staff. The 4x4 vehicle to rent had enough fuel to drive the entire reserve and then some more. A lot of reviews mention delay in getting Breakage deposit refunded, but I find it misleading. It clearly stipulates that it will be refunded within 7 days after check out. I was refunded accordingly and hassle free. Well done and thank you Lynette and staff

Cons: Perhaps a safety net is needed for the pool area, especially for visitors with young ones.

Pros: Loved the individual rooms and the lovely living space.

Cons: It's quite difficult to get around from there. A 4x4 is essential, the facilities e.g. restaurant spa take 30mins to drive 6km. Nearest shops are at least an hour away.

We love the venue and this was our second stay. We will go back again.

Pros: The location is excellent. Unique layout with the separate Chalets. It is nice and quite as there are no immediate neighbours.

Cons: The access road was bad. A normal sedan car would battle to get in and out There were odours in the 1st Chalet. Several globes were not working( Braai Area)

Pros: The place is clean and spacious, loved that the chalets are far apart which is good for privacy, great place to unwind, relax, bond and catch up.... Ice maker was available.... The outside showers... Available electric blankets

Cons: The location sent to us lost us until we navigated our own way, the road towards the house is not great at all, the place is too far from shops, we didn't have matches and we called Lynette to ask for a gad ligter and we were told it's a self catering place but later provided us with the gas lighter... No animals insigt near the lodge, only the ostrich.... Safe was not working at all, kept making a beeping sound.... No boardgames except the Afrikaans one we couldn't use.

Pros: Lovely, well maintained lodge. Quiet and beautiful. The outside showers were wonderful.

Pros: I like the whole place, animals around and the environment itself was very nice

Cons: The water, a day before we left it had black things and we only saw that in the morning on a Monday.
