Pros: We loved the whole place, the location is absolutely perfect, peaceful and comfortable.

Cons: We loved everything, but if in the future you decide to add things, a washing machine might be ideal for people who stay for long or have kids, but otherwise, it's perfect

Pros: We had incredible views of the surrounding area and was very close to the Malelane gate. We even had some elephant visitors one evening which was incredible!!

Cons: The town of Malelane wasn't very tourist friendly but the facilities at the cottage allow to make your own meals and there are grocery stores nearby!

An absolutely magical stay on the edge of Kruger - if I could rate it 100/10 I would!

Pros: If I could give this property 100/10 I would. The most magical stay right on the edge of Kruger National Park where we saw so many animals from our house we almost didn’t need to leave. The highlight was seeing elephants come right to our door and hippo watching! The hosts were 10/10 helpful and lovely and the location was perfect for Kruger Safari and the Malelane gate (10 min drive away approx). The local area had plenty of supermarkets for food (we used Woolworths and Pick n Pay), and we enjoyed a braai one night here. Bed was super comfy and house was well stocked with what we needed and nicely decorated, clean and modern.

Cons: Nothing really, we loved it so much and one of the best places we’ve stay. If we are being really picky, only slight things were WiFi didn’t work for 2/3 nights which was hard as we didn’t have data so relied on it. Water pressure in the shower could be slightly stronger. No indoor table to eat dinner during a storm. No washing machine for laundry (we are travelling for a month so this is something we would have used). But we would book it again in a heartbeat and loved it so much!

Pros: Clean and comfortable. Exceptional location for wildlife. Fabulous hosts, attentive and more helpful than most properties we have stayed at.

Pros: A very pleasant stay at Simbini Sunset Cottage. Excellent views overlooking the river. The facilities were modern and clean. Very friendly owner. Would definitely recommend.

Another memorable African adventure!

Pros: The accommodation on the banks of the crocodile river was as advertised. Beautiful well appointed cottage, comfortable beds and adequate facilities for our time there. If was an absolute treat to watch the elephant cross the river and visit us right in front of the property! Loved it! Close to Malelane gate was a big plus.

Cons: The occasional train was noisy, but didn’t distract from stay.

A beautifully unexpected experience!

Pros: This property was spectacular, with elephants coming up to our property every day. We enjoyed the air conditioned unit with our own private pool. Our place was always clean with fresh linen and towels every day.Our host was warm and welcoming and helpful when it came to our every need.

One of the best in the area that we stayed at.

Pros: The warm hospitality of the hosts (willing to assist with anything) and the location, good beds, wifi, tv (not that we used it really, but for a child is it is superb.) The views and outside areas were all good for the soul.

Cons: Maybe the trains that blow the hooter so many times. There are no pots, and not hot plate should you want to make a sauce or something. Not everybody like microwave cooking. And as a South African, I like to make potjie. Please add a cast iron pot for the fire to the collection. Also, more forks and knifes, dessert spoons. Also microwave dishes.
