Incredible stay, halal food on request
Pros: Incredible stay. I went for all inclusive which included 2 game drives per day and 3 meals. The game drives were excellent, and the meals were faultless. I had requested halal food before arriving and they provided halal meat specifically for me.

Excellent location, facility and service, highly recommended
Pros: Location was wonderful, high density of game especially the cats and antelope, elephants and amphibians The food was great. The rangers and game drives were outstanding especially the sunset drives and sundowners. The room was fine, airy and sunny
Cons: The height of the basin, just that much too high to cause discomfort. Should supply a small step to help. The volume of the rangers' radios was too loud, they should consider using ear pods to reduce the sound. Wifi should be available in each room, not just the main lodge building.

Basic lodge in an outstanding location within Kruger
Pros: Camp Shawu is all about the dam view from the lodge and decks in front of the rooms, which could never disappoint. Staff were very helpful and friendly, even calling to inform us we had left items in the lounge after we had checked out - an unlabeled item, so amazing they identified us as the owners Game drives were excellent
Cons: Food is plentiful, but could be a little more refined. Room furnishings are beginning to look a little tired and could be refreshed Toilet within the bedroom could be sectioned off more to provide greater privacy

Pros: The view to the drinking hole was amazing, and what peace and privacy! You could just sit in the porch all day watching animals such as lions, elephants, buffalo and rhinos come to drink (not forgetting a pod of hippos and crocodiles in the pond). The staff was also very friendly and made us feel welcome, even though it seemed that we were the only guests at Camp Shawu at the time. Food was also very good, and room decorations added a nice touch.
Cons: The floor of the room was dusty and the cushions in deck chairs were tattered and worn out, but these could be easily fixed to give it a more luxury feel.

Very special stay
Pros: The location of the tented camp is wonderful. The beds including pillows were excellent and the staff were wonderful
Cons: Hot water has to be switched on so I was not able to shower during the evening / early morning and the lighting in the tent was beautiful but poor

Great game experience within the Kruger Park. Highly recommend.
Pros: An older camp but definitely made up for it with location, animal sightings, comfort, great food and overall great experience. Would highly recommend, especially if tight on time and want to get to the lodge without driving too long once inside Kruger Park.
Cons: Everything was fine.
