Sand River Cottages

Pros: The rooms are great and comfortable. Receptionist Akin was a good host and very helpful and courteous...we had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back.

Cons: The cleaning staff didn't change the linen even when the stay was longer( 4 days). Otherwise the place was kept clean daily

Outstanding and beautiful

Pros: Everything was superb. I was given space and no one pestered or anything. That's how I like it.

Cons: I'm not sure about kitchen that is outside in case it rains heavily.

Our Sandy experience

Pros: Doctor and his staff were all very friendly and warm. So hospitable. Doctor couldn't do enough for us. I really have never had such a welcoming experience. Thank you so much

Pros: The cottage is so spacious between the lounge and kitchen and the fact that the bedrooms are far apart giving each couple privacy.

Cons: In the bathroom there is no mirror especially when you want to shave your face or head. A small dining table for four inside the house could be a cherry top.

Pros: i loved the natural environment, very peaceful and relaxing. The place is well secured and quiet and also has a beautiful river view. The rooms are very cozy and spacious. The place is only a short drive to the shopping center as well as the Kruger national park. would highly recommend.

Pros: Lovely and close to Kruger Park gate and there are two shopping malls very nearby. The pool was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Cons: There was nowhere to drop the keys when we were checking out which made things difficult. We couldn't leave them in the room as we needed the remote control to open the gate. We were forced to drive out and throw the keys back over the gate into the property, not ideal, but we didn't know what else to do.

Pros: The place was amazing, felt like home and the host was super great, very courteous and was easy to communicate with. I’m definitely booking my next stay again there

Neat, cosy little gem

Pros: We were pleasantly surprised , the place is a hidden gem. The apartments are huge, well equipped and very clean. The gardens are well maintained and they have a sparkling pool, the kids really enjoyed it. There's only 5 apartments at the place, which makes it all the more peaceful, tranquil and cosy. Mr Doctor, the host, really goes out of his way to make your stay very comfortable. We've found our new home everytime we're on our way to Kruger.
