Pros: The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Everything we needed was available — comfortable rooms, great amenities. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel comfortable. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Comfy Blue Shutters

Pros: Our stay was very comfortable, the staff really friendly and the accommodation exceptionally clean. There are lots of lovely walks in the area. Charmaine and Morné were very attentive. I have only good comments.

Pros: We arrived and our room was ready, even though we were early. It was a cool, comfortable room with everything we needed for our adventure bike trip. We met up with the hosts and they showed us all the things to do in the area. Amazing scent of the yesterday, today and tomorrow flowing through the garden. It was peaceful and quiet.

Pros: The Blue Shutter Guesthouse is an absolute gem. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and full of charm, while the hosts make you feel instantly welcome. The location is perfect for exploring the area. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay – truly faultless from start to finish.

Cons: My only slight negative is there didn’t seem to be anywhere to unpack clothes to.

What a beautiful little town Haenertsburg is- we really enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Excellent location. We also really appreciated the room upgrade. Blue Shutter is well looked after and although it's just a road up from the main town- its quiet and peaceful.

Cons: A few shelves or a cupboard for clothes would be a good idea

We enjoyed our stay at The Blue Shutter and we are planning to go back again very soon.

Pros: The location- The guest house is easily accessible and close to a lot of amenities. The guest house- The place was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, the pictures honestly don’t do it justice. The host- Our host Charmaine is a very good host who made us feel right at home. She also recommended some of the local places we can try in the area which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Cons: We didn’t get to experience the whole place as there was a private function in the main house, however Charmaine was kind enough to communicate that to us before we arrived. The room we got was beautiful and the bed very comfortable however, I was not comfortable with the toilet/ bathroom that was literally by the bed side with no wall separating the bathroom/ toilet and the bedroom. I’d prefer a different room next time.
