Die Boothuis is a beautiful accommodation, the hosts are lovely people and the location and views are breathtaking. It’s

Pros: There are beautiful views of the lake from almost everywhere in the house and the wrap around deck. This property has everything you will need during your stay and the host, Esbie is just a phone call/WhatsApp message away should you need anything or have any questions. She is super friendly and communicates everything beforehand. There are kayaks and small fishing boats for you to make use of as well as braai facilities with charcoal and wood.

Pros: Lovely house in the middle of the nature! We enjoyed our stay and really appreciate the hospitality and help with any question we had. Close enough to the village to go for lunch (we loved the The Billiard Room).

Cons: The off grid road to the cabin is not easy accessible with a medium size car.

Excellent stay in a cottage style Boat House right on Lake Chrissie, hosts exceeded all expectations

Pros: Die Boothuis was exactly as described, a beautiful 2 bedroomed boathouse/cottage on stilts right on lake Chrissie, we coud have sat for hours on the amazing wrap around veranda watching birds , Rock Dassies and enjoying the peace and quiet. Our host Esbie went far beyond any expectations, ensuring that we were safely checked in and supplied food as we had been on a long journey, she also took us birding both on arrival and prior to departure. The stay at this property made me feel so welcome it felt like we have made new friends who just were so excited that we enjoyed our stay, nothing short of exceptional.

Pros: We spent one night at the boothuis and despite a very cold and wet weather, the place is very cosy and confortable. Esbie and Pieter are super hosts, very accommodating. Great place !

A little hidden Gem

Pros: The Boothuis was the highlight of our trip to Lake Chrissie. A little hidden Gem. It is so beautiful situated on the lake ❤️. The owners offered to bring us food and it was possible to do a braai on the deck overlooking the lake. In the morning when you wake up you see the Klip Dassies out of your bed sunbathing in the morning sun ☀️
