It was a nice 3 day stay for me and spouse. This will be our home away from home.

Pros: Room was great, location was great, fishing was average, I saw 1 trout, caught it, saw no further activity. Bathroom fan very noisy, no towel rails present, shower was great, satellite tv was great.

Pros: The location is spot on and the flyfishing experience is phenomenal. Staff was very welcoming at the reception upon arrival.

Cons: The bed is a bit warn out on one side and the restaurant experience wasn't great at all. Went for breakfast one morning, left after 15 mins after receiving no service from anyone. Ordered room service for lunch. They failed to provide cutlery and the food wasn't well cooked.

Absolutely lovely and will definitely be back.

Pros: Easy to find. Staff were super helpful and friendly and thought of everything even to giving us an umbrella in case we walked from our room to the restaurant. Lovely fireplace, comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Nice touch was the coffee machine. The gardens are very well kept. Our view of the dam was exceptional, and it created a very tranquil atmosphere.

On way to Kruger stop off

Pros: Very large room with big bed, lounge area and fireplace. Bathroom with walk in shower and stand alone tub. Outside sitting area w peaceful view of duck pond. Parked car in gated lot, then walked into town for lunch. We had dinner at the hotel which was great quality. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

To sum it up Great value for money spent.

Pros: The Lodges offer rustic charm, comfortable accommodation, and opportunities to observe wildlife up close, creating an indulgent yet adventurous experience. What I enjoy most about staying at the lodge is the luxury of having everything taken care of.

Critchley Hackle review

Pros: I absolutely loved that the beds had heated blankets. Perfect touch for the winter weather. The hotel is also walking distance to the main road which is nice & convenient. I love Critchley Hackle because it gives the warm winter vibes with the fire places & good food.

Cons: Very hard to complain about such a great place.

Peace and tranquility

Pros: Greeting and. Service at reception was excellent..The staff was great and very helpful and very nice. The restaurant made us a platter, and it was excellent. Atmosphere at Critchley are beautiful and very relaxing

Great, comfortable, peaceful place, cosy fireplaces for winter, easy walk to the village

Pros: Fantastic location within easy walking distance to the village. Quiet, comfortable and clean, very well run and relaxing place to be for a weekend. Fireplace very welcome on cold days!
