Fabulous, warm and friendly

Pros: Really great vibe. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. The food was good every time we had a meal. There’s real skill in the kitchens. Proper South African flavours and nothing pretentious. I loved that about the place. Reception and welcoming was warm and efficient.

Cons: If I had to be picky, the rooms could do with a decent coffee station. I think at this price point a nespresso machine would be fabulous rather than a small plastic kettle, plastic sachets of coffee etc. the focus should be on environmentally friendly items in the rooms. Not a big deal to be honest, but would really fit in with the rest of the venue.

Pros: It’s very beautiful—the tents are exceptional, with lovely décor and great showers. If you’re looking to relax, this is the perfect place. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It’s also great that there’s a golf cart service to and from the main area and the tents.

Cons: The game drives are expensive, especially considering that we only saw giraffe and kudu. It was quite an anticlimax compared to what one expects from the Kruger. There are also no activities for children. The food is okay, but nothing to rave about.

A beautiful tent

Pros: - the tents are really beautiful, huge comfortable bed - lovely shower sets and hand lotion - great food - massage was really nice and done in the tent

Cons: - at meals, the staff is a bit too eager to remove plates and things from the tables - the outside shower could be a bit more refined, it's a bit at odds with the rest of the set up

Amazing

Pros: We had an amazing stay at Mdluli. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the lodges were beautiful. Our guides for the drives were excellent and really knowledgeable about the animals. We will definitely be back one day. Such a lovely place to be.

Pros: Everything about this property is just spectacular! The location, wow! Watching from the pool elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and more across at the waterhole is just so special. The food and drink, the staff and the game drives all organised thru mdluli we could not fault! Also experiencing a Boma dinner one of the nights really just made it so unique.

Above average, value for money

Pros: Location is good, Tent is nice, Breakfast is good.

Cons: Just a bit boring for supper menu, not much choice. It will be great to have Alacarte menu or set menu.

Easy access, spacious beautiful rooms **Misleading marketing tactics with no accountability**

Pros: The rooms were meticulously clean and very comfortable - big plus for the heating function as Winter nights and mornings can get quite chilly. They are modern, very spacious, and felt very private until someone moved in next door the 2nd night. Piping hot water and great water pressure. View of the watering hole from the pool, cafe, and restaurant is great, spacious property.

Cons: Some tents are VERY close to each other so you can hear people entering, exiting, and being in their room. Some staff were truly wonderful, others didn't seem to care at all. As Mudluli caters to groups, all meals were buffet style and not very fresh or healthy, everything was quite processed. Cafe not great. *** I was told it was within Kruger Gate and I would only have to pay park fees one time while entering the park and I could self drive as I please. This was not the case. I was told upon check in I have to pay every time I enter the park (as the property is not in Kruger Park) and I need to return back before 17:00 as the Kruger gates would close. This was very misleading and restricting - when I questioned the policy at check in reception was unhelpful and unphased. They said I have to book evening game drives with them (because of the gate closures) and pay every time I enter, multiple times a day if I chose to enter and exit Kruger Park.
