Very beautiful, magical, stargazing, animal sounds. A perfect location near the entrance to Kruger

Pros: We really enjoyed the cabin with the river and the hippos right in front of it. We loved the location near the Kruger National Park entrance, and since we couldn't have dinner at the restaurant because it was reserved for a private event, they recommended a place to get takeaway food in the village near the lodge. The room was clean. We would love to return.

Cons: The kitchen is charming, but since it's outside, it's not very comfortable for dinner. There's little light and lots of mosquitoes, and the kitchen utensils have to be washed before use because they get quite dirty with dust and cobwebs due to the location, making it less ideal. It's best to eat in the restaurant, but we couldn't. It's a small detail to keep in mind if you're planning to self-catering.

Cons: Wasn’t told that no staff would be onsite some evenings - we needed assistance with the kitchen appliances not working and couldn’t find anyone and had no number to call. Kitchen appliances (microwave and stove top) did not work. We struggled to cook because it was raining so couldn’t braai.

Good stay

Pros: If you main destination is kruger national park this is your location.

Cons: The room is clean to the eye but the bathroom was not clean. The shower glass would do with more scrabbing. It would be nice of they spray the rooms with something for mosquitos.

We enjoyed our stay at the Camp.

Pros: Great location. Perfect hub for the visit of the Kruger National Park. Very nice room in a cosy cabin.

Cons: We did not know that you have to do a reservation for the restaurant to get food. So had to drive to the next village but at Christmas there was only a very disappointing restaurant open.

Cons: The grass is quite long, I would love to see the grass being cut, would definitely bring out the classy features.

Pros: Location is fantastic. Right close to the gate. Nice view from the chalet. The newly built reception/ lounge is very inviting.

Cons: No restaurant on site.

Pros: Kruger and the surrounds are filled with epic places to stay. This has been at the top of my list having spent time in resorts and camp sites around the kruger, I absolutely loved the unique design of the house. open to the elements yet the bed and bathrooms nicely enclosed. Had the most comfortable nights here. I just wish i could have spent a longer time at the chalet but as you know when around the kruger, the urge to get up and go find animals is so strong! I did spend some hours braai'ing and relaxing in the afternoon sun. Saw some amazing things just from the balcony. Its also a very romantic places for a lovely gateway with a partner. Just bring a spot light so you can look around the river at night! :) I will be back!

Pros: My booking was upgraded to one of the new tented accommodation which is currently under construction - thank you. An awesome setting overlooking the river, especially at sunset.
