Pros: Beautiful tents, true luxury. Fantastic staff who made us feel so welcome. The best Safari guide (Ben) who was so enthusiastic and informative. Ideally located for the game park.We loved it and would recommend.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Safari Plains. The accommodation was very comfortable, staff very accommodating and friendly and the food was delicious. We saw lots of animals on our game drives and our game ranger, Ben, made the drives super informative.

Pros: Food, game drives. Peo our guide was knowledgeable and made the hunt for game an absolute safari experience. He is outstanding

Cons: The staff putting pressure on you to finish your meal to clear the plates. And if you said you were still busy eating they waited a couple of minutes and were back, to ask again if they could take the plate. This spoilt the whole eating experience as the food was good

Brilliant!

Pros: From the welcome to the luxury tent to the views to the staff to the game drives - everything was spectacular! Bridget was our guide and she was knowledgeable, funny and couldn’t have tried harder to make our experience out of this world.

A game drive like no other!

Pros: The staff is amazing…everyone is welcoming and helpful The game drive was one of the best we have been on; we got to experience the lions having breakfast after a successful kill of 2 blue wildebeeste the previous night…marvelous!

Absolutely great!!

Pros: Safari Plains is a relatively small scale operation that offers gamedrives, accommodation in luxury ‘tents’ (that more resemble upmarket hotelrooms with thatched and/or canvas roofs instead of concrete walls, floors and ceilings) breathtaking views, nice and varied food, excellent spa and, maybe most importantly; staff that will do everything in their power to make your stay as pleasant and unforgettable as humanly possible. Laidback luxury at its best. Daily early morning and late afternoon gamedrives will get you in very close contact with lions, rhinos, hippos, lots of antilope subspecies (from the smallest to the biggest), elephants, zebra, buffaloes, wildebeest, impala, the occasional crocodile, warthogs, hyenas etcetera, etcetera. In our case we spotted 24 different species of mammals…

Cons: There will always be something that appeals to some more than to others. I can easily live without the ‘bushbraai’ that seems to be a standard feature twice a week. But most people seemed to be happy banging the table in an unsuccessful attempt to imitate the sound of african drums…

Great experience

Pros: Game drives included, lots of staff and all were very helpful. Room had aircon and a ceiling fan. There is also a mini fridge

Cons: Beverage policy is a bit confusing. Shower was not draining properly and they were not able to fix it even after reporting it. There is not much space to unpack clothes

Pros: Safari Plains is 11 out of 10. Exceptional in every single sense. Amazing tent, amazing staff who are friendly and cordial and make you welcome. Stunning views, amazing environment and facilities. Super exciting game drives.
