Hornbill Private Lodge Mabalingwe

Pros: The game and game drives were lovely. Nicholas went above and beyond in making the game drives an incredible exoetience. Saw many animals including buffalo, rhino, hippo, crocodile, sable & many antelope. At Hornbill we enjoyed the nyala, warthog,, implala, bushbaby and hornbills, hammer head, grey loerie, oxpecker and many more in the garden. The facilities are great, kitchen has all the necessary utensils, & the various dining areas are wonderful.

Pros: Wonderful accommodation! Staff and owner were incredibly helpful and friendly. Very good value for money. We will definitely be booking again the next time we come to South Africa. I have already recommended it to three of my South African friends.

Pros: Amazing hospitality from all staff, contact from manager was excellent. The most serene and tranquil location. Loads to do around the park and close proximity.

Pros: Well kitted out lodge with fully equipped kitchen, lamps & gas cooker in case of load shedding, stunning braai area and pool. Wonderful location with regular visits by impala, nyala, kudu, warthogs, squirrels and many birds. Staff are great and extremely friendly and helpful. We will definately return.

Cons: The fridge is large which is great but it is a little noisy 😀

Pros: To celebrate our 30th school reunion, myself and 5 friends booked a long weekend at Hornbill Private Lodge. From the private game drives to the plentiful ice and wood to the welcome gift, we felt truly appreciated. Pros: The location, we had access to the roaming animals. We did not need to travel far once we entered the reserve. The house was spacious and hosts were extremely friendly and helpful

Pros: The place was spotless (I think it's the cleanest place I've ever been) and the lovely ladies and gentleman kept it perfectly clean throughout our entire stay. The facilities, especially the outside braai area and facilities exceeded all our expectations. It is the perfect place for a group of friends to get together, with lots of space, a nice big kitchen and pantry and enough relaxation areas and bathrooms to cater for everyone. The game drive was also so much fun, and we greatly enjoyed our time with Jaco. The sunset drive we took was one of the many highlights of our stay. The complimentary fire wood and ice was a huge bonus.
