Tingala Lodge - Bed in the Bush

Tingala Lodge is situated on the Silonque Game Reserve in Phalaborwa, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. It features a patio over looking a swimming pool and the savannah. Each luxury suite is decorated in earthy tones and opens onto a patio that overlooks the bush. It comes equipped with air-conditioning, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and some of the beds are draped in mosquito nets. Breakfast at Tingala is served on the shady patio, and guests enjoy the evenings around a log fire under the stars. WiFi is available in some of the rooms and in the living area of the main lodge. Activities available include game drives and bush walks in the Kruger Park. The Phalaborwa Airport is an 18-minute drive away and the Hoedspruit Airport is 80 km from the property.

Functional Fitness Accomodation

Pros: The hospitality, Mam Rose and Bhuti Sphiwe and the team are really excellent. They are warm, very lovely people. The place is peaceful, a place to unwind, to reconnect. Amazing

This must be the best kept secret in the Phalaborwa area.

Pros: Absolutely everything. From breakfast, elephants drinking water in the pond, the facilities, the room and the fantastic twins that was always available with a smile to assist.

Cons: Everything was perfect. It will be a hard act to follow

Pros: Siphiwe and Rose were friendly, welcoming, informative- great hosts. The room was luxurious. We loved sitting on the veranda overlooking the waterhole. The sunrise was gorgeous.......and the best of all was the leopard we saw on the drive up to the lodge!

Relax, sit back and enjoy a great stay at this fantastic accommodation in the bush.

Pros: The location of Tingala Lodge is super, close to Phalaborwa gate yet still in the wilderness. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. Beds are comfy and musquito nets are installed. The bath room is nice as well, with lots of space and it is spotless. The staff of Tingala Lodge is fantastic. They are very service minded. Huge “thank you!” for Rose, Peter, Shpini and Tom for their hospitality and service. Great job folks. We really enjoyed our visit. I hope that with this review I am able to convince other travelers to book this accommodation. And do not stay for just one night but book a few nights or even a week like we did and really wind down and get away from day to day business. The location with the water hole where wild life and birds visit the whole day, the breakfast, thr night skies and the campfire it is all worth the trip.

Pros: Everything Halaal ? Not to worry if your staying the night there’s no issue -if you bring they have everything just bring your own Halaal grille -

Nice place and comfortable

Pros: Nice and comfortable place, good beds, big rooms and bathroom. We were a bit late in the morning for the breakfast and we didn’t expect to them to fix it but they did.

Cons: The way to the Lodge was very bumpy

I loved the overall atmosphere and wish I was staying there longer.

Pros: I loved the quietness and isolation. The feeling of being amongst nature is very good. The staff were excellent and even happy to light up a braai (barbecue) for my own use.

Cons: There was no major wildlife appeared however, this is nature and I totally get this. I took a wrong turning on the way out so perhaps better signage may help.
