Beautiful spot, can’t wait to come back!

Pros: What a wonderful spot for a short breakaway, we only wish it wasn’t so short!!! Comfortable and extremely well appointed, the cabins have absolutely everything you need and more. Most comfortable bed and pillows ever! We will definitely be back!

A gem in the bush

Pros: 1)Location; 2) Friendly staff, Anita and Gunther were amazing; 3) The Serenity Cabin was fully kitted and private plunge pool was sparkling clean and heated; 4) Game drive had decent sightings including buffalo, rhino, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, wilder beast, jackal, impala etc...

Pros: Exceptionally clean, comfortable facilities with beautiful views to the nature and wild animals. The game drive exceeded expectations.

The perfect balance of wild Africa, peaceful luxury, and the kindest of hosts.

Pros: An unforgettable stay in every sense. From our balcony, we watched zebras, wildebeest, monkeys, ostrich, warthogs, impalas — even giraffes — all just meters away, living freely in their playground of nature. Our two game drives (one with Mongena, one with Günter) were breathtaking: white rhinos up close, playful cheetahs, lions crossing majestically, giant buffalo… all part of Dinokeng’s Big Five magic. Günter’s passion and stories made it all come alive. But what makes Abendruhe truly special are Anita and Günter — genuine, kind, and deeply connected to this land. Their welcome felt like meeting old friends. The lodge is spotless, serene, and full of heart. You don’t just stay here — you feel it. A piece of Africa that stays within you. ❤️ – Arnaud Gauthier

Cons: If I really had to find something to mention: the shower head in our unit was a little wild — sending water in all directions like it wanted to join the game drive 😅. But honestly, it didn’t matter — I had already let Anita know, and with hosts like hers, I’m sure it’ll be sorted in no time.

Private and peaceful getaway!

Pros: The Abendruhe Lodge is a short drive from the Dinokeng Gate. It feels very private and peaceful. Beautiful views from the balcony, with many animals around. The lodge is clean, beds are comfortable and has everything you will need. Thank you to the owners for showing us around the property. We had a wonderful game drive with Günter, he is very knowledgeable and he gave us the best experience to explore the Dinokeng Game Reserve.

Cons: Nothing to complain.

Although my stay was short it was amazing. Honestly should do it again

Pros: Everything about the place was beautiful, comfortable and peaceful. It’s such a great getaway place from the city. You also get to see some animals up close which was a bonus.
