Tsi tsi and pietra were very great and jimmy also,close to nature we had bushbabbies in our chalet

Pros: The property is very clean even thou i got lost getting there it was worth it

Cons: We did not get an option to choose the food ,it was beef stew ,braai and chicken and the breakfast was pre cooked and warmed upon serving,they said the chef was on leave

Quiet and Relaxing Stay

Pros: I liked our Chalet. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The place is so quiet and very relaxing.

Cons: FOOD: I didn't like the fact that there was no menu to choose from when it comes to food. We had to eat what was provided to us. I need to have options when coming to food. That was a big let down. No TV in the chalet. That would be a big plus to have TV in the chalets.

Relaxing luxury stay in the bush with hands-on treatment.

Pros: The tranquility, friendliness and hands on treatment by the staff members and owners. Rooms were stunningly beautiful. We had a wonderful time.

Exceptional.

Pros: Exceptional service, staff was very friendly and proffesional, excellent expierience and would recommend to all.

Cons: Everything was exceptional.

Pros: A fantastic experience with friendly and welcoming staff and hosts. All round one of my favourite places to stay. Hearing the lions roar at night, made the experience magical. Look forward to the next tim!

WOW

Pros: We had an exceptional special time at Phakela Lodge, the place itself is an absoluut Gem. We were welcomed by the staff at our room with cold beverage and hot towels, the room is absolutly stunning, it is very spacious, it looked exactly like the photos. The food were delicious, Phakela Lodge is definately a must if you need to stay near Amandelbult or just get away from the busy day to day life. Thank you Petra and your team for a wonderful stay! Real value for the price.

Pros: Our 2nd visit. Some areas 3* and some 4*. Overall I will rate as 4*. Maggie's food was excellent and Friday night's dinner reminded me of Sunday lunch at my mom's place Loved it. Older and do need some upgrading in certain areas but overall a good weekend to relax and enjoy nature around you. It does not disappoint and the staff was great.

Pros: Loved the peacefulness. Clean and neat. The staff really go out of their way to ensure great service.

Pros: Excellent facilities all round. Staff amazing. Jan was very knowledgeable and informative. Perfect host. Princess our waitress was a credit to the establishment.

Cons: Not a criticism but access was difficult to the property after all the recent storms.
