Our second time there. Won't be long before the third time follows!

Pros: Location: right in the middle of the African bush. Very peacefull. Food: Top notch. Typical African cuisine. Staff: Extremely friendly and catering to every need. Chef, butler, camp hand, guide, cleaner Activities: Twice daily walks in the veld with the armed guide, who is extremely knowledgeable. Very educational. The highlight undoubtedly was the elephants comeing to drink from the camp pool (dry season), literally metres away - hugely thrilling.

The place to go to connect with yourself and nature.

Pros: An intimate, off-the-grid camp in the heart of the reserve. Excellent attention to detail and 7-star treatment by the wonderful staff.

Amazing and unforgettable experience

Pros: We loved the location in the middle of the bush. The amenities and the comfort are outstanding while eco responsible. The staff is absolutely lovely and very careful while being very professional. The food is excellent and changes every day, the walk games are wonderful even if of course you don't see as many animals as in cars...but the contact with the nature and the intercation with animals is unique...and our guide was so nice and skilled. I defintely recommend to anyone who wants to live a true expreience in the bush

Cons: The driving directions to reach the hilltop lodge (from where you drive to the camp) could have been better explained upfront but it's a minor thing

Pros: Had a great stay at trails camp. A very nice and rustic camp hidden in the bush. Comfortable tents, good bed and amazing food. Staff is very helpful and nice. The guides where super. We had some bad luck with the weather, rain at night, cloudy days with hard winds, but Allyson and Daryl made the absolute best of it by focusing more on spiders, insects, birds etc. I would definitely like to come back.

Zu Fuß durch den Busch zu laufen ermöglicht es die vielen kleinen interessanten Dinge zu sehen.

Pros: Auch hier spricht die Lage mitten im Bush für sich. Wer jedoch in der Nacht Angst vor Tieren hat, welche um das Zelt schleichen, der sollte das Camp meide. Für uns Abenteuer pur mit netten, hilfsbereiten Stuff. Wir haben uns immer sicher gefühlt.

Besonderes Erlebnis in der Wildnis

Pros: - super Personal - James der Safari Guide war absolut genial. Er kennt sich sehr gut aus (Pflanzen, Tiere, Spuren) - tolles Essen - Hyänen Bau mit Baby Hyänen gefunden - nächtliches Hyänengeschrei und Besuch am Abendessen - Möglichkeit am Ende noch einen Game Drive zu bekommen - 2 Tage ohne Wifi und Handyempfang waren sehr entspannt

Cons: - Man sollte wissen dass es bei der Walking Safari nicht um Game Watching geht sondern das Erlebnis durch den Busch zu laufen und Spuren zu lesen und mehr über die Wildnis kennen zu lernen (Pflanzen, Verhalten der Tiere), immer mit der Möglichkeit einem Tier zu begegnen. Die Tiere sind aber viel scheuer als bei Game Drives und darum sieht man weniger Tiere - zu wenig Info über den Tagesablauf - bei schlechtem Wetter ist man ziemlich im Zelt gefangen, es fehlt ein Aufenthalt-Zelt das gemütlich eingerichtet ist. Aktuell nur mit Stühlen eingerichtet und nicht gemütlich. - Zelt Klettverschluss hat sich immer von selbst geöffnet durch Wind - Waschbecken hat kein fließendes Wasser sondern nur aus Wassereimer und Schöpftasse - Aufgrund der eher Basic-Ausstattung für mich etwas zu teuer, aber ein tolles Erlebnis.
