Khandizwe Kruger Villa

Pros: Our stay at the villa was truly wonderful and became one of the highlights of our trip to Africa. Host Amanda very attentive, she also helped us organize the safar. The villa and some of the furniture are not brand new, but everything is charming, cozy, and beautifully maintained, which adds to the character of the place. A special thank you to Faith, her cooking was absolutely delicious. We were also very happy to meet both Faith and Rose. We saw elephants and antelopes nearby, and hippos by the river. One tip for future guests: it’s best to rent a car at the airport, as it makes getting around much easier.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, very helpful and friendly staff. It was perfect and even better than the photo's. Got see hippos, bucks and elephants whilst sitting on the patio.

Cons: No dislikes

Fabulous stay. Wildlife watcher's heaven

Pros: One of the most amazing places we've ever stayed. Host and staff were kind, friendly and welcoming. The house is huge with lovely grounds. The best thing though is the location. Overlooking the crocodile river. During our 2 night stay we saw elephants, hippo, baboon. Vervet monkey, Bushbuck waterbuck, warthog, crocodile, impala , fabulous birds all from the comfort of the garden. It was fabulous.

Cons: There is not much we did not like, but I would say the pillows needs to be replaced. They were all very uncomfortable, and we actually went to a close by shop to buy ourselves new ones. Also if they could stock up on mosquito stuff. I forgot the peacefull sleep and as we arrived late and shops were closed, the kids got eaten up by die mosquitos that night. Other than that... it was amazing.

Great place for two families

Pros: The location in front of the river and the park. Many animals approach the river. Great baranda for sundowners and bbq.

Cons: Bathrooms need some renovations

Exceptional!

Pros: A truly exceptional experience. The large, tastefull house and the veranda with direct view on the river — hippos, water bocks and birds — are wonderful. 5 Minutes from Malelane Gate, perfect! Thanks to Rose for the good cleaning.

Cons: South African loadshedding was an issue. On booking.com nothing was written about it. Coming to a foreign country to sit in the dark in a big house with sculptures and masks with your kids for 3-4 hours is not a good experience.

2 days elephant watching and relaxing

Pros: Bedroom and shower were lovely , with bedside sockets for phones. Good kitchen utensils and large fridge and freezer. The views to the river and Kruger Park were exceptional and we were visited by a lone Elephant each day

Cons: The layout of the house was a bit strange , possibly as it was old and there may have been add ons..I.e the bbq area was miles from the kitchen. The house is a magnificent building , however it is a bit old and could do with some TLC. The pool was not very inviting, a bit dirty , and old . Even with the above , we had a lovely stay.

An enjoyable stay in Malelane

Pros: The view of the Crocodile river is wonderful and had some good sightings of hippo, crocodiles and waterbuck. Hlobosile was in constant communication with us and was very helpful.

Pros: The large house is beautiful and located in a picturesque location.

Cons: The kitchen is not comfortable. There is no any care for the guests. We traveled a lot in South Africa and for the first time there was no bottle of water and soap in the bathrooms.
