Hippo's Honk at Kruger

Very memorable & comfortable

Pros: Solar, garden, braai area, animals feeding right in front of the villa & balcony space.

Cons: No washing machine or dishwasher (Bush Laundry was over run with washing) No recycling bins

Pros: Beautiful house. Lovely location. Very friendly and helpful owners. The good solar system helped a lot after the massive storm that hit Marloth. We still had power and hot water while there was a huge power outage in the area.

Pros: Location was super. The accommodation was neat organised everything worked. Animals come to visit us. Patio and boma area amazing. I liked it and would come back when visiting the Kruger. Impressed!!

Cons: There was nothing I did not like. Everything was at its place and worked.

Amazing house in an ideal location surrounded by nature

Pros: Fantastic house in a great location, right on the border of the park but the house itself gives you access to so many animals - it’s an amazing experience. House itself is very comfortable, very nicely furnished and equipped and makes for a wonderful stay. It’s also a bonus to not have a house directly in front, so you really feel that you are in the wild. Highly recommend

We loved our stay in the bush, especially seeing the animals up close and the boma. It’s close to the Crocodile River so

Pros: A beautiful, serene place where you can get up close with the animals. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the bush!

Pros: The accommodation was exceptional. Animals visited the house daily. Giraffe, Zebra, Warthogs, Bushbucks, Nyalas, Kudus etc. We fed the bushbabies every night, they are very cute. We booked for 4 nights but stayed for 8! Will definately stay here again.

Pros: Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The facilities were excellent, and the breathtaking views made the experience even more memorable. Waking up each morning to the serene beauty of the bush and enjoying our first cup of coffee while taking in the natural surroundings was truly special. We visited as a family to celebrate my father's 65th birthday, and this remarkable setting made the occasion all the more meaningful. It was a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and togetherness, an experience we will all cherish for years to come.

Pros: Beautiful location and excellent accommodation and facilities. Close to the Kruger Park and many other interesting locations. Plenty of facilities in close proximity. Wildlife visiting the house was amazing. A fantastic experience all round.

Amazing

Pros: Had An amazing experience at hippos honk. Directions and check in was very easy. The house is beautiful and homely. Very clean. Well supplied in terms of kitchen utensils and braai equipment. Great location. Bordering crocodile river. We were able to see many animals at the river. Also lots of antelope and zebras visited the house. Marloth spar about ten minutes away for quick supplies that were forgotten. 20min drive to crocodile bridge gate. Booked game drives leaving from crocodile bridge gate. Thanks Marina for always checking in.

Pros: Beautiful accommodation, beds comfortable, everything you need is available, location good, would definitely consider renting again.
