Pros: This is a little piece of heaven on earth ...... and oh so Romantic! We really enjoyed our stay, leaving was the hard part.

Pros: Very friendly staff, great for a relaxing weekend. Very private. The owner gave us so much free wood to use! Animals can be seen from your porch.

Would definitely reccomend to others.

Pros: Friendly hosts. Well equiped, secluded and very spacious accommodation. Everything you need is available - blankets, towels, toiletries, fire wood, heater, fan, lights, utensils, airfryer, etc. We only used our own iron, everything else that you can think off was there. Very peaceful and amazing surroundings. Enjoyed sitting around the fire every night. Saw multiple bucks, some Girrafe, Zebra and of course, the daily visitors, the Hippos, relaxing in the river very close by. A real gem if you want to get away, relax and enjoy nature.

Cons: Did not realise there would be multiple and some very rocky gravel roads to get to the very secluded location. Not quite suitable for daily travel in and out to town with a normal vehicle. Better suited for SUVs or Bakkies or just travelling in and out once 😀

Pros: What a Wonderful Stay! We had an absolutely amazing weekend at Wilgeboomsdrift. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the attention to detail really made it feel like a home away from home. Whether relaxing on the stoep or in the jacuzzi,enjoying the peaceful surroundings, everything was perfect. Lots of animals came by, and seeing the hippos was a first for us. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful Weekend

Pros: Absolutely loved our stay at Wilgeboom Safaris. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Lots of firewood provided. The host was very helpful answering questions and suggestions on travel routes. Loved sitting on the patio and watching the animals right in front of you. we saw buffalo, giraffe, ostriches, hippo and loads of buck. Stunning sunsets. Wonderful weekend!

Cons: If I had to fault something it would be the small wine glasses, but certainly not a train smash!

Great weekend getaway

Pros: The isolation, next to a river, with Hippopotamus hollow. All day long open fireplace with rustic braaiing facilities. Great for a weekend get away. No TV Strong wi-fi. Comfy beds. Best of all a jacuzzi by the river and plenty of shade on a hot day.

Cons: It's quite a schlep to get there with poor quality sand roads.

Pros: Beautiful space on a river bank, hippos, fish jumping, eland and buck, little iguanas, a hot tub. A piece of paradise in the middle of what feels like nowhere. Good quality bedding and a well provisioned kitchen with a dishwasher made cooking, braaing, a pleasure. ThNk you for the watermelon 🍉.

Cons: A huge storm knocked out electricity (later came on after about 6 hours) and wifi connectivity for 3 out of our 4 days. There was also no cell phone signal for that time leaving us literally marooned. Not the fault of the owners but the very isolation made it feel potentially dangerous. If you are two people like we were, be were that you dont have access to the top floor. Despite this, there is no denying the sheer beauty of this spot. Note that its pretty rough getting in and out because of the gravel ruts which shook us till my teethfelt loose! But accessible and we took the Mookophong road.

Lovely stay, with a few modifications, this could be one of the best pet friendly places to stay.
