Stunning place

Pros: The area is tranquil and so beautiful in its greenery. We saw a few game; impala, wildebeest and nyala. The chalet is very clean and well equipped, even for longer stays. There is a braai and boma outside, the shared pool is clean and refreshing. We enjoyed the hosts and their company, lovely people. Definitely recommend coming to check it out.

Cons: Nothing about the stay, just a heads up for future visitors. Make sure you have a bakkie or 4x4 vehicle for the road in and to explore the property inside.

The cleanliness and friendlies and care by the hosts

Pros: The quietness of the place the undisturbed nature and the helpfulness of the kids on the property very friendly and respectful and helpful

Cons: The road in after the rain is challenging drive and the lack of signage at the beginning of the road into the venue

Definitely hope to return to spend more time there.

Pros: Breakfast not included so can't comment Superb Environment A warm and friendly host family. Really enjoyed meeting them.

Cons: Due to the abnormal rains the road was challenging getting to the property. Nothing our hosts could have done about that.

Awesome spot, perfect host - can 100% recommend this place

Pros: We received very detailed instruction to guide us to the property. The chalet is an absolute gem, clean, beautifully situated in a very quiet and secluded location. Everything was perfectly clean and neat and equipped with everything one needs for a perfect stay. Perfect spot for a quiet getaway!

Very good place to get away for a weekend

Excellent stay in Vaalwater

Pros: Great location! Quite a drive to get there but it's a great and quiet spot. The rondavel is very complete and well furnished. The braai outside is very comfortable with the benches around. It was too cold to swim but the pool is beautifully located. Nice hot shower. Very friendly hosts!

Soul recharge!

Pros: The warm personal care. The peaceful environment. Great for solitude or family retreat. I fondly remember the hosts' generous hearts.

Restful bush breakaway!

Pros: Loved the charming bush cottage! Well equipped with all amenities.

Cons: There was not enough signage one you turned off the main road to the lodge. One couldn’t follow GPS so had to follow directions provided but there were not enough guiding markers to make sure wrong turns weren’t taken. More signage at forks in the road would help feel more secure along the route especially as there is no signal.

Séjour inoubliable!

Pros: Tout était parfait, le chalet possède un confort incroyable, belle chambre, bonne salle de bain, cuisine bien équipée avec un BBQ à l’extérieur! Merci Nicole, James, Tate et Haden, ils sont très sympathiques et nous ont fait visiter leur propriété avec le 4x4 ! Le domaine est très spacieux en respectant l’environnement! Nous y reviendrons….

Wij vonden dit een geweldige plek!

Pros: Prachtige plek (met een spannende route er naar toe maar met suv wel te doen, met een sedan zou ik het niet wagen :)) Mooi huisje, mooi zwembad en heerlijk rustig (we waren de enige gasten) Eigen afgeschermde braaiplaats De wildebeesten en zebra's liepen vrij in de omgeving rond Hele vriendelijke behulpzame eigenaar. We kregen een uitgebreide en duidelijke beschrijving via de mail hoe we er moesten komen en met de codes van de hekken.
