Pros: It was a nice property on the banks of a river and awesome restaurant and food was good

Great overnight stop in the middle of the panorama route

Pros: The location is absolutely gorgeous with a river to swim in. Nice and friendly staff. And I can also highly recommend the Chubby pig eatery. Good for lunch and breakfast and they can arrange something for diner.

This was a lovely quiet and quirky place to stay.

Pros: The property was lovely and off grid as described. The hosts were lovely and helpful. The food at the restaurant was tasty and good value. Overall would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Cons: The road to the property was a dirt road so just a note to future travellers.

We loved it

Pros: Everything! Property messaged us the moment we touched down in SA to fix timings and food pre-orders. Rustic, basic but friendly than your Nan. Food was incredible, service with a smile and a dog we wanted to take home. 🏡 perfect stop between Kruger and JoBurg

Pros: Rustic, small lodge - we had the place to ourselves, friendly staff, relaxing.

Pros: The setting is stunning, the perfect place to unwind and recharge your battery. Lotsnof beautiful places to visit close by. The Chubby Pig eatery is just wonderful.

Cons: Didn't like is putting it too strongly. The hot water supply (and electricity) is a bit spotty. But that's OK for being off grid. So the place cannot afford you every single thing you've come to take for granted, uninterrupted, but the plus sides of it more than make up for it.

Pros: Very well looked after and a great night's sleep

Pros: It is a stunning place to go relax and unwind. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Treur River is crystal clear and perfect for a hot summers day. The chalet was comfy and everything you need is readily available. We had the chalet without a fridge, just had to pack a big cooler box with ice. You can also go for walks next to the river and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Cons: We were in chalet 1, which is right next to the restaurant and restrooms for the guests. It was not as private as we hoped as there were constantly people walking by the chalet to go to the restroom. Every time the toilets flushed, there would be a faint smell.

Pros: Small, cozy, beautiful location away from noise, good food and nice host.

Unfortunately we were only passing by, but really it’s a place you could spend a week in for a little getaway retreat !

Pros: Lovely location. In between a georgios valley with a river running through you can’t swim in!
