Highly recommended!

Pros: Amazing place with a kind staff. It has gorgeous view and the best breakfast in all of South Africa. Also the owners got a pack of very small and cute dogs who love to play with guests.

Freestanding gem

Pros: The Birdhouse is a real little gem nestled at the foot of the mountain in Kampersrus near Hoedspruit. It is a great base to explore from, but also a lovely destination for a peaceful and relaxing stay. It is an utterly charming place. We enjoyed the delicate attention to fine detail with quirky birds all around that brings homage to the very apt name The Birdhouse. The original art on the walls and the colour scheme is tasteful and effective. The place is well equipped and caters for every need. The modern finishings add a lovely upmarket feel.The abundance of real butterflies and birds in the well planned garden makes your stay all the more enjoyable and peaceful. Lovely attention to fine detail and every comfort that you can wish for. The place is sparkly clean and the hosts were warm and inviting. What a lovely stay.

Pros: Very friendly and homely hosts. Comfortable and accommodate you with care.

Cons: Such nice big spacious gardens and plot can have a additional fenced area for outdoor dogs to be comfortable. But my dog was at home and comfortable anyways. So not a complaint, but a suggestion.

I would throughly recommend to stay at the guesthouse the owner is one amazing person that puts her customers comfort fi

Pros: The owner was outstanding for our stay. We unfortunately were running late for our arrival and missed the restaurant. The owner then went and got some cheese and snacks which was above and beyond kindness. Our stay was exceptional nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautiful and spotless. The outside areas were gorgeous to take in the beautiful surroundings.

Pros: Convenient, quiet location with beautiful views. Spacious, comfortable room, plenty of hot water. Friendly hosts, who had a lot of very cute dogs.

Cons: The WiFi was a bit unreliable, but that's a minor issue.

Beautiful and memorable stay, thanks

Pros: Everything about the breakfast was good. the host was warm and welcoming. He also gave advise/assisted us with directions to get to Kruger national park as we were not familiar with the area. Thank you so much Jacques, the kids and I had so much fun

Cons: The pool was too deep for the kids, but they still managed to get in the water by the stairs
