Blyde River Canyon Lodge

This lodge is nestled between the Drakensberg Mountains and the Blyde River. It features elegantly decorated rooms that open onto tranquil gardens, where zebra and wildebeest wander by. Located in the entrance of Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve, Blyde River Canyon Lodge has air-conditioned rooms, decorated with wooden furniture. Each room has a satellite TV and an electric kettle. An English breakfast is served daily, and the guest house’s restaurant offers local dishes for lunch and dinner on request. Special diet menus are also available. Guests can relax by the outdoor pool or enjoy massage treatments. Pros: The room was very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was great, from the description on Booking I didn’t know if there would be a dinner possible at the lodge,but they offered a 3- course dinner, which was good value for money and delicious. The breakfast was great too. The lodge is very close to the departure of the boat ride on the Blyde river Dam. On deparure, our car had been washed😃

We were well taken care of at Blyde River Canyon Lodge.

Pros: We had a nice room just by the reception, not very big but adequate. Staff was nice, the property was nice and the set dinner was nice. Dinner had to be booked in advance.

Cons: You had to order your breakfasts on arrival and it is difficult to decide what you want to eat a few days ahead. Sometimes you might want a full English, sometimes just yoghurt and scrambled eggs…

Pros: What an awesome place, would have loved to have stayed longer. Saw zebra on the lawn while having a wine. Apartment was beautiful, clean and well equipped. 3 course meal was a set meal but was amazing, highly recommend.

An excellent stay for guests of all ages, ideal for both short visits and extended stays.

Pros: It was amazing – zebras on the property, a nice pool in our little private village, and a fun place for young people to enjoy drinks and have a BBQ. We had a few issues because someone joined us at the last minute, but the crew gave us a fair price for the change.
