Pros: Lovely place sitting up in the mountains just next to the border post. One of the most stunning views from the balcony. The rooms are comfortable and the host is very welcoming.

Comfortable stay and breathtaking views.

Pros: Mountain Aloe Den has got beautiful mountain views overlooking Swaziland, that was beautiful to experience. It also has that authentic yet modern African touch which drew me to the place. The hiking experience was a bonus.

Cons: Breakfast arrangements were not accommodated on time with the host as booked.

Remote with great views over Swaziland

Pros: It is remote looking over to Swaziland. The food is great both dinner and breakfast. You have to request food in advance. Great views and very friendly owners. Outside shower!

Cons: Nothing really

Wonderful location, comfortable and nice views

Pros: The experience of taking a shower outside under the sky full of stars was amazing. Wonderful views over the mountains. Very friendly owner.

Cons: The owner prepared us dinner and breakfast which we requested beforehand. It was abundant and tasty, but quite overpriced in comparison with all the other places we had been to in South-Africa.

Pros: Amazing experience. Great location, the best ever view out of your bed to the green highlands. Quiet, peaceful, hidden location. The owner is a very nice, helpful and friendly guy who really knows the meaning of the word \

Makhonjwa Mountain Magic

Pros: Location, setting, accommodation, and friendly staff. Lovely, quiet setting far from the madding crowd and a good stop-over spot if you are heading for eSwatini or experiencing the World Heritage Geological journey on the Makhonjwa Mountains from Barberton.

Cons: Excellent product with amazing potential, so not much to fault. Electricity issues with weather so no power during our stay. But staff provided a generator for some lighting during dinner. Maybe travel with matches, a torch and candles when heading here.

A lovely mountain place

Pros: A beautiful hidden mountain place near the border of eSwatini. Mamsie is a lovely host. She put all her love to comfort you. And more than enough delicious food. A place with a heart.

Cons: Actually nothing
