It was good for body and soul

Pros: Basic paraside, reminding you, you only need good food, a comfy bed, warm shower/bath and good company to be happy. Michelle makes the absolute best meals, all the staff are so welcoming and accommodating, they pay attention to the little details that actually make a difference. It's so peaceful and a definite new location for us to visit again and again

Full bellies, full hearts, great service

Pros: The food was amazing! Every day we had a different menu, Melissa and team always delivered amazing food and we were always full. The tents were clean and had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was also great. Owen was amazing and made the game drives fun.

Luxury in a super natural setting

Pros: Butjani lodge is a beautiful place to stay to escape the hustle & bustle of the city. Melissa & Owen (and the other staff) could not do enough for us. Melissa prides herself on providing mouth watering meals that are both inventive and enjoyable. Owen does a fabulous game drive early evening which is informative and enjoyable. He’s also a pretty good bar man! The lodges were comfortable, clean, with super comfy pillows & mattress. The bathroom was a dream with all amenities, including a great bath & a bonus outside shower. Tea, coffee & homemade biscuits provided were a delight in a morning & after the game drive. We will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

Cons: Expected more game

Pros: A unique glamping experience in the bush! Loved the outdoor shower. The food prepared by Melissa was delicious and so beautifully presented! We had some dietary requirements and she went out of her way to accommodate us. The staff were all so warm and friendly. We went on a game drive and a bush walk with Owen which we loved. A wonderful getaway away only 90min from Joburg! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely lovely place

Pros: We absolutely loved the stay. Melissa and the team were so helpful, they even fetched us from the main gate :-) the sundowners and dinner were totally 👌

Toller Wochenendausflug zum

Pros: Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, viel Augenmerk auf Details, kann den Bungalow „Bush Willow“ wärmstens empfehlen! Coole Außendusche! Auf der Lodge gibt es alle üblichen Huftiere zu sehen, man kann auch schön zu Fuß gehen. Täglich 17 Uhr Game Drive. Am ersten Abend gab es ein starkes Gewitter mit Stromausfall- kurzerhand wurde ein Candlelight-Dinner daraus mit Blitzen über der Savanne im Hintergrund. Romantischer gehts nicht! Melissa und Owen haben unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht!

Cons: Sonnenliegen am Pool wären noch toll!

Ein erwartet schönes Reserve zum wandern mit einer unerwartet ausgezeichneten Küche

Pros: Kulinarisch eine Offenbarung! Was hier auf den Tisch gezaubert wird, ist nichts anderes als excellent, wir waren mehr als überrascht. Das Reserve hält was es verspricht, man ist hier, um zu wandern und Tiere zu sehen. Die Zelte sind geräumig und beheizt. Es hat uns außerordentlich gut gefallen. Ein etwa einstündiger abendlicher Game Drive am Abend ist inklusive
