Kruger Park Lodge

Great facility but be weary of the bush life

Pros: It offers a wide variety of on-site entertainment, ideal for a family vacation: putt-putt, tennis, swimming pools with towels for swimming available from the front desk, giant chess, scenic walks, encountering buck along the way, hippo lookout point, golf. Serviced daily. Restaurant on site. Close to the Kruger National Park and shopping centres, close to the Panorama Route for site seeing.

Cons: The fact that you can't leave the doors to the chalets open. Several large lizard-like animals, looking like komodo dragons were frequently spotted outside the chalet. Monkeys are everywhere and can enter the units anytime and cause havoc. Every morning there was excretions by animals on the veranda. We wouldn't enjoy the veranda as a result. Snakes..... Thatch mites were in all the rooms and tiny worms on all the beds everyday. It really affected the stay negatively. The aircons don't really work properly and the units are extremely hot and humid.

Very comfortable and we had an amazing time. food is great, staff is friendly and helpful. we will be back for sure!!!

Pros: Secure, well equipped, nice activities to keep busy.

Cons: 1 occasion where reception didn’t get back to me when i enquired about an activity. other than that, we had an amazing time

The tranquility of the lowveld

Pros: The space was excellent. A central point for our fishing in Sabie and the game drive at the Kruger National Park. The venue itself had plenty of amenities. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Cons: Nothing really

Beautiful!

Pros: The resort is absolutely beautiful and the house was spacious and well-equipped.

Cons: The glass doors on the verandah did not have a key and could not lock, except for a hook. It would be great to have a little shop with some basic supplies and snacks on site. It was a little expensive.

The place to be

Pros: It is a very beautiful place that accommodate families and it is near to all attractions

Pros: A lovely start to a break in the bush. Teens had a good time playing pool and golf and parents could work away from home. Peaceful lots of birdsong and the hippos grunting at night made for a taste of the KNP nearby

Cons: Unit 513 has some damp in the kitchen cupboard near the sink that you may want to sort out before the cupbaords are no longer in good nick

Pros: Nice and centrally located and clean. Restaurant is nice

Cons: We booked two chalets. Both of them were functional and comfortable but quite dated. Could do with renovation. It was winters so I guess it was pleasant. But, summers and the air conditioning, the way it is now would become a problem. We stayed at chalet 532 and 533.

Cons: The aircons were problematic. The one in the main bedroom did not work. Maintenance looked at it but only gassed it so by the time the evening came, it did not work again. The leak was only fixed on day 3 so it made for 2 very uncomfortable nights. The aircon in the second bedroom also ran out of gas and needed to be serviced during our stay. The third bedroom had a leak through the thatch which was also problematic as there were very big storms.
