Crystal Springs Mountain Lodge

Very enjoyable

Pros: Surroundings beautiful and staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast in restaurant amazing.

Cons: I did not realise has to go up steps and for me room and facilities was cramped. However everything you needed was there. Some bits a bit dated and needs attention.

Pros: The view, the animals, seeing them roaming. The service, was excellent!

Peaceful and relaxing

Pros: Fully equipped kitchen, nice rooms, beautiful view from the balcony.

Cons: Gym facilities need upgrading, other than that, nothing else.

Pros: My kids enjoy heated pool and playing games. We also managed to see other tourists destinations around the area like God's windows n Graskop George. The weather was nice too

Cons: The process of getting keys at reception was long as they made mistakes on my booking. I booked 2 units for my family. I specifically told them it must be next to each other but our units were far apart. We found broken things in the unit, and the lady who was cleaning accused us. The cleaning lady was not nice at all.

Past it's prime?

Pros: The location is beautiful and there is a restaurant on site. The unit was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

Cons: The staff at the lodge aren't well trained in hospitality. When we arrived there was a power outage which nobody informed us about. It would have been nice if the receptionist mentioned it to us. The on-site restaurant is average. The dinner wasn't very good. Breakfast was good, though. Maybe this lodge is nice if you're planning on hiking or participating in their activities. As a one night stopover, I feel I could have gotten better value for money elsewhere. The booking system is also inconvenient as you have to do a bank transfer instead of paying on booking.com.

Had a great rest and break away

Pros: Staff friendly and enjoyed the rest and peacefulness. Will definitive visit again.

Cons: All good.

Pros: The drive up to Crystal Springs is turning, turning but worth it. The whole complex was beautiful with all the service around it. Restaurant: Food was super. Superb wine list. And animals walking around the chalets, great to see. Definite a coming back address.
