Summerfields Rose Retreat and Spa

Set within a 100-hectare farm, Summerfields has riverside rooms with outdoor showers. The pool, open-air spa area and restaurant are by Sabie River, where hippos bathe at dusk. With wooden furniture and luxury linen, each room has a private deck and bath overlooking the forest. The villa has natural stone features and a covered terrace. The spa offers treatments including massages, aromatherapy and rose-based beauty therapies. A lounge with library and Wi-Fi faces the river, while another has satellite TV. Activities include guided tours among the roses and macadamia trees. The River Cafe provides breakfast, lunch and dinner and the menu is reviewed weekly. A candle-lit dinner is possible at the riverside restaurant. Barbeque facilities are available at the family houses. The Villa and Stonehouse are not part of the main camp and are situated 1km from the reception, but closer to the main gate. Guests will require their own vehicle should they like to travel between the houses and the main camp. Nearby are a tree-top walkway and mountain biking and hiking trails. Kruger National Park is 18 km away and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport is 50 km. Dogs are allowed on request and only in our Family Stonehouse and Villa. Comfort and peace

Pros: Beautiful area safe , quiet and Stonehouse is well equipped.

Cons: There's ants in the kitchen getting into food which was unpleasant

We felt very welcomed by the staff and enjoyed the spa and the food.

Pros: It was a very relaxing place to spend a couple of days on a busy holiday.

Cons: I felt it was a little hazardous in places due to a lack of lighting particularly near the restaurant area.

Fabulous service and beautiful place. The rooms are much nicer than the pictures and don’t feel like tents at all

Pros: Stunning! So much more beautiful than the pictures. A macadamia and rose farm with a stream.

Cons: Toilet outside (covered) but means moths at night around the light.

Lovely place in hazyview

Pros: The tent set up, outdoor bathroom was excellent Warms beds were just perfect for the weather. Staff Was friendly. In house restaurant served lovely food and we're accommodating for the needs of our vegetarian group. Lovely experience.

Cons: Reception closes at 6 and u have to connect to the GM in kitchen for all needs . He was extremely helpful. But for a property like this it would be great to have a full time reception or a co text that guests can reach out to. Other tha this one point, everything about pur stay was perfect

Pros: I like the accomodation, was spectacular. Really great. It was worth it . The brakefast was really good one of the best parts of the stay. Really good

Cons: The dinner menu, and preparation,it was too quick ,food was not on point, very little flavour, eggplant almost raw, and very few options. The dinner was really my only dessapointment.

Relaxing, beautifull and exceptionally friendly staff

Pros: Out of this world! Most parasympathetic experience I have had. To fall asleep next to the rushing waters of the Sabie river is something you won’t easily find somewhere else
