Sabie River Camp

Situated along the Sabie River, this resort features a heated rock pool surrounded by a wooden deck terrace which overlooks the valley and mountains. Sabie River Camp offers tented accommodation which offer views of the garden, river and mountain. Each tent has a seating area, mosquito net and desk. Some tents have access to a shared bathroom and some have an en suite bathroom. At Sabie River Camp barbecue facilities are available and there is a bar offering a selection of drinks. Other facilities include a children's playground, hot tub and mini golf. An array of activities can be enjoyed in the surrounds including hiking, canoeing and cycling. The Sabie Falls is 750 metres away and the Sabie Country Club is a 5-minute drive from the camp. Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport is 1 hours’ drive away.

Pros: The pool and bar, river running along the camp to sabie falls. Fast food outlets and shops close by.

Cons: Maybe have the bar close by 23:00 on weekends. Bit noisy especially for family camps. Neighbours also a bit loud after 23:00

Pros: The gentleman who received us was very helpful, as we arrived late. He was genuinely concerned about us.

Cons: Leaks in the bathroom roof, which was not really a big issue for us. It would be perfect if fixed.

I enjoy, we had fun with Mywife, we definitely coming back with the kids.

Pros: The tents were spot on 👌I will definitely come back with the kids.

Cons: Number 14, we had hot water 🚿 in the morning Saturday. The following day on Sunday there was no hot water. Please check that.

Pros: Electric blankets on the beds was a definite win🙌Clean and cosy tent. The staff was super helpful and friendly!

Cons: Would have preferred own toilet in the unit. There is also no basic crockery or a microwave to warm food.

Perfect stay, warm welcome, and all basic facilities provided.

Pros: The host was very kind – he showed us around the place and even took us to a restaurant in town! We had made the wrong reservation due to an issue with Booking (we had booked a camping spot by mistake). The woman at the reception helped us immediately and resolved the issue. The facilities were basic, but that’s normal for a campsite – everything you need is there.

Cons: A bit old-school, but charming for a campsite.
