Pros: What an amazing find ! this is an outstanding property, we were looking for a nice stop over and this come up and look lovely but when we got there we were blown away with the attention to detail of the decor and the whole stay was an experience not just a room. the room was like something out of a movie set. the facilities were excellent, and the recommendation for an evening meal just up the road, was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. the themed rooms are all so different it really is a stunning place and made our trip so special. the \

Perfect stay!!

Pros: I checked in at around 9pm. I was received by friendly staff who assisted me with my luggage and took me to my room. The next morning as I was leaving before 6am I requested a packed breakfast. I was given one that was large enough for breakfast and lunch. The owner went out of his way to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. The decor and gardens are beautiful and immaculately maintained. I will always be staying here in the future when visiting lydenburg.

Historical building. Quirky furnishings. Welcoming owner & staff.

Pros: Quirky, historical, unusual, attractive building and furnishings. Welcoming, relaxed, hang-out-with-owners-and-other-guests kind of feel. Accommodating to our dietary needs; made the effort to be creative with the vegan options. Also accommodates our two big vehicles on the property. The rooms became very hot during the night - if we had stayed more than one night, we would have asked for a fan, and I'm sure Francis would have made a plan. We had a memorable short stay. Convenient location, and Lydenburg looks like a town worth exploring further.
