Wonderful stay in a beautiful lodge with top quality hospitality

Pros: The host Ian was fantastic and wonderful. So helpful and proactive with the game drives as well.

Cons: Probably the fact we didn't book 4 days instead of 2. It would have increased our chances of seeing better game

Pros: An absolute paradise for wildlife lovers — and a dream come true for photographers! We spent just two days at Antares, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. In only a few magical hours in the underground hide, we were treated to unforgettable close-up visits from elephants, impala, and duiker. Antares bursts with life — an incredible variety of birds flock to the hides, offering endless opportunities for photography. Dwarf mongooses scurried about the whole place during our stay. A second hide, complete with a small pool, is perfect for capturing an array of smaller birds drinking and bathing. The lodge itself is wonderfully comfortable but still deeply immersed in the bush. The host, Ian was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and always ready to share fascinating insights about the reserve and its wildlife. Everything here was exceptional. We will be back!

An amazing place to stay

Pros: What an amazing set up. The camp is full of little feature that make it feel very special. The hides is a photographers dream. It is comfortable and clean with all the facilities you could ever ask for. Ian the owner was great company and very knowledgeable about the reserve and the animals. His passion for the lodge, the hide, the reserve and all its animals is great to see and makes for a memorable stay

Wonderful Experience

Pros: Antares is in a great location on a nice reserve. The stand-out feature is the eye-level hide that affords some great viewing/photography opportunities of the lodge’s private waterhole. While we were there we had visits from impala, kudu, rhinos, terrapin and loads of birds. The staff is friendly, but non-intrusive and did an excellent job of keeping everything clean and tidy. The owner, Ian spends a lot of time at the house, which is unusual for a host. He also serves as the guide for private daily safaris and his knowledge of the bush is amazing.

FANTASTISCH!!

Pros: Wat een super mooie lodge!! Zo de moeite waard, we zijn op een hele gave trip geweest door de bush met Ian. Heel veel dieren gezien! En de drinkplaats die ze bij de lodge hebben vonden wij erg bijzonder! Van zo dichtbij olifanten zien drinken en de prachtigste foto’s kunnen maken. Als we nog een keer in de buurt zijn komen we zeker langer!
