Cozy cottage

Pros: - Beautiful home - Comfortable - Everything we needed in the kitchen - Location was beautiful - Air conditioning was perfect because it was hot - Proximity to nice restaurant (Three Bridges), Blyde River Canyon cruise and Hoedspruit town

Cons: - The toilet uses a septic tank so it can block easily with toilet paper as the flushing mechanism is not very powerful (just something to take note of)

Pros: The location is fantastic and the cottage lovely, we had a great stay at Shepherds Rest

Wonderful tranquil honeymoon at a beautiful cottage.

Pros: Amazing tranquil stay, exactly what we wanted. It is such a cozy place immersed in nature. Even wit a longer stay we had such a good time and hosting staff was super friendly and helpful.

Cons: Nothing that was really bothering us. If I could make some recommendations for upgrades to the property it would be to add a washing line option for guests staying longer. The outdoor furniture was sufficient and umbrella was a big bonus but more comfortable outdoor seating options would’ve been nice and a big upgrade to facility would be a wood-fire hot tub. It would have fitted in so nicely with the vibe and feel of the cottage.

Pros: The accommodation is cozy and well equipped. We will definitely make use of it again.

One of the highlight overnight stays on our road trip with all you need to be comfortable.

Pros: Great kitchen and bathroom- all you need for an overnight stay. Feels like you staying in a treehouse as you can see treetops from your bed. Beautiful spot!

Cons: The very steep stairs up to the mezzanine floor and no bannister was a bit of a challenge if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night.

REST AND PEACE AT SHEPHERDS REST.

Pros: We liked absolutely everything. A real LITTLE GEM in Hoedspruit!!!!

Cons: For older people the steep staircase to the beautiful main bedroom might be a problem.

Beautiful location but could improve a bit

Pros: The location was beautiful, felt like a dream. The hostess was very kind and helped us in the best way possible.

Cons: The toilet did not flush and there were no cleaning tools for plates/glasses etc. The glasses were not clean, so I think guests before us dealt with this issue as well. We broke a glass which they asked R150 for, not a problem, but in comparison to the troubles we have had and the accommodation price this was not in proportion (in our opinion).

We had a great weekend there soo peaceful,aesthetically pleasing loved it!

Pros: The place is gorgeous and peaceful me and bae had a lovely time

Cons: That I had to leave

GPS LOCATION

Pros: Everything was great. The house was super clean and tidy up. The hostesses is kind.

Cons: The GPS didnt give us an accurated location so we ended up in a road in the middle of bushes but the hostess immediately helped us as soon as we sinalized that we gost lost.

Very demure

Pros: It’s a private location and it has almost evrything a person can need

Cons: Load shedding evry after 3 hrs, the gas run outs n we didn’t prepare breakfast in the morning 😔
