Beautiful old style villa on the Olifants river

Pros: Stunning location and perfectly secure. It was just what we needed as a stop over before moving on. It was peaceful and clean with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Cons: We only mentioned the noise and creaks in the property, which I guess is to be expected with the age of the house, but it made it tricky moving around whilst others were sleeping. Other than the couple of spiders we spotted (two arachnophobic people in tow) which put us on edge, we did appreciate it was completely normal for the area despite our concerns. Would have loved to see the hippos too, but we weren’t there long enough to enjoy that and did get to Jessica Hippo instead. Overall a great stay though thank you

Peaceful, quiet & beautiful location

Pros: Location was perfect and very beautiful with the river view. Great Braai area outside. Owner, Jacques & the worker Robert at the house, was very friendly and helpfull. We loved our stay there - peaceful & quiet!

Cons: Nothing!! Loved everything there

A rare experience in a remarkable river lodge!

Pros: Breathtaking gardens and view of the Crocodile river. The home is rustic and the beds very comfortable. Great facilities outside of the kitchen. The garden lights create a wonderland outside. You really are transported and feel the rich magic of Africa.

Cons: I had to leave and catch a flight back to Johannesburg

Comfortable and memorable stay.

Pros: Though it’s a bit of a distance from the main road, the property is well set up. There’s WiFi available and the kitchen is well equipped. There is good seating with a view of the river outside the house. It’s a great spot for people in a group who come prepared to stay there.

Cons: Distance from the road but then , this is a not too long a drive from the tarred road.
