Boabab Lodge

Soul refreshing.

Pros: Loved the location and the space available; rooms are well spaced. Loved that the animals walk up to the property and the food available to feed the animals (at extra cost) was a nice surprise; we enjoyed standing on the deck and throwing food for the wildlife.

Cons: The one bedrooms sheets weren’t clean (had dirty spots) and the gas braai didn’t work (started well but ended up cooking our wors In the oven further)

Beautiful property

Pros: The house is fully equipped with everything you may need, the view is stunning and we had the best time. The watering hole in front of the house also attracts many animals which was great to wake up to every morning.

The wild life is exelent, overaul stay was good.

Pros: Lighting is poor the dining area doesn’t have enough light, and some plumbing problems were experienced. Blocked shower drain in main bed room and bottom bed room shower cold water is very slow. The roof is leaking in the main bed room passage and in the dining area.

Enjoyable stay!

Pros: We enjoyed spending our weekend in this house. The location was scenic and the wild animals came to graze nearby from time to time. The kitchen is fully equipped with enough appliances, crockery and utensils. The bedrooms were comfortable and the host provided us with sufficient information to ensure all our needs were met during our stay.

Cons: Upgrade shower taps with mixers. Replace shower drain covers.

A great overnight stay! Beautiful Bushveld sunset views and everything you need!

Pros: The house had ample space for a big group and a view of the Bushveld.

Cons: We forgot swim towels (not the property’s fault). Just a reminder to pack when you visit :)

Christmas stay at Baobab Lodge, Mabalingwe

Pros: Baobab has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The view over Mabalingwe is awesome, and there were always Nyalas, Guinea Fowl and Warthogs below the deck. The property was spacious and accommodated three families easily. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cons: There is a little maintenance required at the lodge, particularly on the deck thatch (was only a problem because we had a few good rain downpours). And just something to note, take the warning regarding monkeys and baboons seriously.

Wonderful week with family

Pros: Great views, aircon in all rooms, enough outside seating for 12 and everything we needed was provided. Paradise for bird watching on self-drives. Wonderful service from Jack and Margaret

Cons: Coffee machine wasn’t Dolce Gusto

Pros: The property is clean, spacious, and you don’t struggle with cutlery.

Cons: Only the stairs to the bedroom

Pros: We had a great stay as a family of 8. Lots of space for everyone. The view is beautiful and we saw a lot of animals from the house! The house is very well equipped. A note that the 4 single bed room and 1 of the double bed rooms are interlocking and thus you need to walk through the single bed room to reach the double bed room. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I wish this was my house!

Pros: Great view, great location had everything and more that we needed. Except a fondue set 😉. Inside joke from how great the house in equiped.

Cons: Baby gates and game vehicle needs some maintenance
