A stunning setting, with very luxurious tent accommodation and super food and game drives with a realistic budget.

Pros: Loved the location of the tent, overlooking the river, the tent itself was outstanding, including its own outside bath and shower, and a plunge pool ! Very luxurious. Staff were all very attentive an always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble at all. The main host was fantastic. My wife also had a full body scrub and massage which she said was excellent. We had great game drives and sundowns the whole experience was fantastic and it didn’t break the bank !

Stunning location, amazing staff, a truly memorable experience.

Pros: Beautiful setting and really well designed and appointed luxury tent suites. The bed was really comfortable and we slept really well. The outdoor shower and bath and plunge pool were great!! Our terrace overlooked the river, giving a really peaceful and calming outside space to enjoy between game drives. The food was fantastic throughout our stay and all of the staff were amazing! There were only a small number of other guests there so it felt very private. A superb stay and cannot recommend highly enough. And then there was the wonderful experience of the game drives and all the animals we saw. 10/10!!

Amazing resort with great staff

Pros: Amazing resort, easily a 10/10. The tents are beautiful, with private plunge pools and outdoor showers that make the stay feel extra special. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help. We had fantastic safaris with our guide Jonathan, who was very knowledgeable and even got us amazingly close to cheetahs. Sunrise coffees and sunset drinks on safari were such a great touch. We also loved our treatments with Presh - she did a great job. The food, service, and overall vibe of the resort were just amazing.

My experience as a returning guest

Pros: The facility and privacy of the tents, met my expectations as a returning guest. The staff was friendly and accommodating of special requirements. Chef Xoli and Nonhlanhla ensured that the food was good quality and tasty 😋. Special high five to Promise who served us daily with a smile and laughter, she is a good representative of the facility and what it stands for, customer facing comes natural to her😊. They put a lot of effort into making Christmas special for the guests.

Cons: The road from the main gate to the reserve, was terrible especially during wet conditions. It was slippery and muddy with ditches that seemed to have been left unattended for some time. Nothing has changed since the last feedback with regards to the car ports and their condition since my visit last year😕, they still look terrible and small, making it a challenge to park a big car.

Fabulous location

Pros: Excellent location by the riverside in a large private game reserve where 4 of the Big5 can be spotten (no Rhino unfortunately). All comfort with even a private swimming pool. Good food. Drinks included.

Cons: The weather could have been better. We've stayed two nights and had more than 50mm of rain.

Pros: The Lodge is located in a splendid part of the reserve, along a river ... just fabulous views and wonderful scenery. The drives were fantastic and many wildlife sightings were enjoyed

A truly unique experience in a wonderful reserve

Pros: We had an exceptional stay at the Nkomazi private reserve. Four game drives were scheduled over our two-night stay, and each one exceeded our expectations. The reserve is spectacular in both size and beauty, and our highly knowledgeable guide allowed us to observe many animals up close. The service, dining experience, and comfort of the lodge were outstanding. A truly unique experience that we highly recommend.

Amazing place in a beautiful environment!

Pros: Amazing reserve, breathtaking views and exceptional wildlife in the park!

Cons: We stayed in a tent near the water and that was very nice during the day but during the night the noise of the water was rather intense.
